We are seeking a Construction Site Safety Officer for a 90-day temp-to-hire assignment supporting major construction projects in Bremo Bluff, Virginia . This role is based at a power plant on-site with occasional travel to regional project sites.
The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining site safety programs, conducting safety inspections, leading toolbox talks, supporting incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Qualifications. (please read carefully)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive construction safety experience in a dedicated safety role
- Active OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 certification required
- Strong background in site safety leadership, inspections, and training
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental, or related field preferred
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
