Job Summary:The Construction Site Manager oversees day-to-day operations on active construction sites to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively coordinate teams, manage resources, and maintain strong communication with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities and personnel.
Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and materials to maintain the project schedule.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
Lead daily/weekly site meetings and report project status to upper management.
Address and resolve any issues or delays that may affect the timeline or budget.
Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, and incidents.
Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized worksite.
Work closely with project managers and engineers to interpret blueprints and construction documents.
Oversee and manage equipment use and ensure proper maintenance.
Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager, Superintendent, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficient in construction management software and tools.
OSHA certification or equivalent safety training preferred.
Bachelors degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

KBR is looking for a Construction Site Manager will act at the Site Team Leader for the management and oversight of construction contractors at the client site. You will be responsible for managing all on site functions in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements on construction and maintenance projects. Annual spend can exceed $70 million and above. Typical competencies include business acumen and leadership, contract /commercial management, control of work process, HSE management and performance, human relations, accounting and finance, field material management and subcontracts, construction QA, field project controls, among others. The incumbent possesses a working knowledge of the respective industry and supervises all KBR construction personnel at the site.
This position is located at a client site in Richmond, VA. No relocation or per diem will be offered.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
+ Oversee construction field subcontract management
+ Responsibilities may include project setup and subcontracting strategy, shop drawing review and processing, contract changes, engineer daily relations, subcontractor relations, and all required Owner and in-house reporting.
+ Liaison with KBR site and home office engineering for projects, and preparation of executive reports, initiation of progress reporting systems and interfacing with client representatives. Provides constructability to engineering.
+ Acts as the channel of communications with the site subcontractors on all matters relevant to the satisfactory completion of the work. Manages projects and subcontractor activities to ensure that they are carried out in accordance with the project and site specifications.
+ Assures implementation of the site Safety Policy and Procedures
+ Supervises construction cost and scheduling to ensure that they are carried out in accordance with contract obligations and site/home office procedures
+ Ensures that up-to-date IFC drawings are produced and distributed to appropriate construction contractors
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
+ Must be US Citizen and eligible to work in the United States
+ Experience in managing concurrent multiple projects and subcontractors
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree preferred
+ 15+ years in construction in a supervisory capacity
+ Good written and verbal communication skills
+ Must have the ability to work in a team environment
+ Clear Criminal Background Check required
