Job Description
The Laborer is responsible for performing general labor tasks to support the production, handling and finishing of precast concrete products. This includes, but is not limited to, cleaning forms, setting up molds, moving materials, assisting equipment operators and maintaining a safe and organized yard environment.
Duties:
• Assist with the setup and stripping of concrete forms and molds
• Clean, oil, and prepare forms for the next pour
• Load and unload materials, tools, and precast elements by hand or using forklifts, pallet jacks or hoists
• Place and tie rebar, inserts or other hardware as directed by supervisors
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, workstations and walkways
• Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE and report any hazards or unsafe conditions
• Support crane and forklift operators with spotting and material staging
• Perform other duties as assigned to assist production and yard teams
Pay: $20+/hr (depending on experience). Schedule: Monday-Saturday 60 hours a week.

This position is responsible for performing various job tasks on hazardous and non-hazardous waste sites in the NORTHEAST region of the United States. Work performed on hazardous waste sites may include possible exposure to lead, PCBs, H2S, arsenic, and various other metals, chemicals, and conditions. Job tasks involve manual labor in various weather conditions.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER training required
- City and State specific training may be required
- Per diem / living allowance and trips home.

Essential Job Functions
Specific job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Perform tasks involving physical labor at earthmoving, remediation, heavy construction projects, and demolition sites.
- Operate and maintain hand, power tools, and equipment of all types such as high-pressure washers (hot and cold), electric power tools, portable abrasive wheel tools, pneumatic tools, liquid fuel tools or equipment, power actuated tools, hydraulic power tools, skid steers, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
- Operate and maintain pumps, compressors, and generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Cleans construction site to eliminate possible hazards.
- Lubricates, cleans, and repairs machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Loads and unloads materials from trucks or trailers.
- Signals equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials.
- Clean and prepare work areas, construct fencing, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, clean up rubble and debris, paint, and various other labor intensive work activities.
- Welding, cutting, or brazing.
- Work in confined spaces including permit required confined spaces.
- Knowledge of materials, machines, and tools, including their hazards, designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance.
- Assist with the preparation and review of Job Safety Analyses, observations, and other reports.

Qualifications

Experience : Previous construction and/or hazardous waste work experience preferred.
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent.
Licenses/Certifications: HAZWOPER 40-hour training and current refresher.
