Civil Construction Superintendent - Ohio
$100,000 - $10,000 starting salary + full benefits

GPAC has partnered with a well-established civil construction company in Ohio to find an experienced Civil Construction Superintendent to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives on keeping projects on track, teams motivated, and work delivered to the highest standards.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead daily field operations for civil construction projects (roadways, utilities, sitework, etc.)
  • Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and equipment to meet schedule and budget goals

About the Role

  • Bolts, nails and aligns and blocks up under forms.

  • Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.

  • Levels earth to fine grade specifications, using pick and shovel.

  • Mixes concrete, using float, trowel and screed.

  • Positions, joins and aligns and seals pipe sections.

  • Erects scaffolding, shoring and braces.

  • Sprays materials such as water, sand, steam, or paint through hose to clean, coat or seal crevices.

  • Grinds, sands, or polishes surfaces, such as concrete, marble, terrazzo, or wood flooring using abrading tools or machines.

  • Performs a variety of tasks involving dexterous use of hands and tools, such as demolishing buildings, sawing lumber, dismantling forms, removing projections from concrete, mounting pipe hangers, and cutting and attaching insulating materials.

  • Work is usually performed with other workers.

Ability to work without close supervision once directed on task.

Obeys and follows all safety rules on the job site and encourages others to do the same.

Maintains a good relationship with co-workers and works well with others to accomplish a task.

Physical demands of this position include lifting up to 70 pounds occasionally; 40-50 pounds frequently along with frequent climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching and handling.

Construction Office Manager Summary: This position is responsible for preparing and administering bids, proposals, work orders, and contracts for commercial construction projects in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. The role ensures that all contractual obligations for each project are accurately documented, properly executed, and closed out per project specifications.

Construction Office Manager Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, compile, review, and validate contracts and collect required signatures.• Draft subcontractor agreements and track execution.• Manage Certificates of Insurance and bonds for customers and subcontractors.• Collect and enter new vendor and customer documentation into company software systems.• Process and track waivers and other documents required for project closeout.• Draft proposals and related documentation.• Gather information for submittals (e.g., material data sheets, shop drawings, charts, and graphs).• Prepare and collect approved Pay Applications and maintain Schedule of Values (SOV).• Upload and organize all project documentation in our software systems.• Process redline corrections on agreements as needed.• Support the project team throughout the project lifecycle to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.• Maintain a thorough understanding of contractual issues for assigned projects.• Provide general office support, including answering phones and assisting at the front desk as needed.• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in contract administration, office administration, or a related field.

• Prior experience in the construction industry required.

• Proven ability to manage contracts and associated documentation accurately and efficiently.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
