The primary objective of this position is to perform electrical /maintenance processes through the proper installation, repair and preventative maintenance of plant equipment.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Safely perform simple to complex electrical repairs and installs within a manufacturing setting.
  • Responsible for planning jobs as needed.
  • Responsible for electrical design and installation.
  • Documents new and existing electrical installations as needed.
  • Repairs critical equipment with available parts.
  • Installs, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs PLC and HMI systems.
  • Ensures compliance with internal control procedures, unwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law.
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter, yet able to participate within a team environment.
  • Ability to operate equipment effectively.
  • Must be able to complete required training.
  • Must be able to communicate to multiple levels within the organization.
  • Must keep all company property in good working order and clean.
  • Must understand equipment functions and processes of the primary areas.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Education: Associate's degree in the electrical or electronics field, or 5+ years of equivalent training or experience.

Required Work Experience: 5+ years

Required License: Current electrical journeyman

Additional Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of PLC programming, experience with CTI 505 and Allen-Bradley PLCs is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HMI programming is preferred.
  • Electrical and mechanical skills are required.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.

Experis is partnered with a US based electric utilities organization headquartered in Columbus, OH in support of their personnel needs. We frequently search for savvy and experienced electrical engineering professionals to join their teams and are interested in learning more about you!

**Overview:**
Principal Project Engineers are responsible for executing complex engineering tasks and projects, applying engineering expertise to achieve assigned objectives safely, effectively, efficiently, and economically while managing the engineering activities of multiple complex projects.
Project types include solar and wind electric generating facilities, environmental retrofit to existing coal power plants, building new Combustion Turbine (CT).
**What skills/experience/education do you have?**
5 or more years of related engineering experience along with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in a program accredited by Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or 6 years of related engineering experience along with a Master's or PhD in engineering from a program accredited by ABET.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in any U.S. state or similar credentials are required for these types of opportunities.
