Description

The Machine Operator is responsible for running production machinery in accordance with company procedures and safety standards. Tasks include setting up, operating, and monitoring machinery, performing quality checks, and ensuring that products meet specifications. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machines used in the production of heavy-duty wet cloth products. What you’ll be doing:

• Operate and monitor machinery involved in the wet cloth manufacturing process
• Ensure production targets are met while maintaining product quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning and inspecting machines to ensure optimal functionality
• Monitor machine performance, identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions quickly and efficiently
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
• Document production data and machine performance
• Troubleshoot production issues and work with the team to find solutions
• Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals

• Proven experience in operating machinery, preferably in manufacturing or textiles (wet cloth experience a plus)

Assists the Supervisor by leading an assigned production line in achieving defined goals of safety, efficiency, delivery and associate morale.

Essential Functions

1. Load and unload trucks
2. Receive raw materials for production, parts, supplies, etc.
3. Ship product in a manner consistent with the customer specific instructions
4. Use various CNC and manual machines to make any needed tools, dies, gauges, machine parts, jigs, and fixtures.
5. Use various gauging equipment, mics, calipers, scales, indicators, comparators, bore gauges, gauge blocks, sine bars, etc.
