**What You Will Do**

Leads the development and sustenance of the cigarette (FMC), cigar (MMC), and next generation products (NGP), including electronic vapor (EVP), oral nicotine (OND), and others, insights platform for the Company with strong focus on category research, adult consumer nicotine/tobacco behaviors and drivers understanding, market segmentation, concept testing, buyer studies, shopper insights, and packaging development. Provides all around enterprise support and thought partnership for a consumer-centric portfolio approach for MMC, FMC and NGP brands, including concept evaluation, brand asset assessments, and consumer path-to-purchase, ensuring disciplined approaches and rigor to key insights decisions across the ATNC value chain.

+ Ensures a workable matrix of relationships that collaborates across key commercial business functions including brand marketing and sales teams, as well as globally, to source and deliver enabling insights that add overall value to the enterprise insights platform.
+ Develops and leads all phases of the market research process, designed to provide the organization with actionable insights on adult consumers and shoppers.
+ Collaborates with brand marketing and customer marketing teams, identifies knowledge gaps, and establishes best-in-class learning plans that deliver value to the brand plans.
+ Provides thought leadership to the commercial business by serving as the "voice of the consumer" to the organization, ensuring the adult smoker is an integral part of all strategic decisions and business plans.
+ Partners with the Product Development and Sensory teams in evaluations with adult consumers, ensuring strict compliance to regulatory testing mandates as it relates to consumer testing programs and methodologies for all FMC and MMC product and leaf testing.
+ Monitor and assess consumer behaviors relating to category and brand shifts, harness insights to drive recommendations that drives the business.
+ Identifies and manages third-party research partners for all insights initiatives.
+ Provides support and expertise to Global I&I team regarding U.S. specific, multi-national studies.
+ Leads the shopper research efforts to create enterprise understanding of the ATNC (Adult Tobacco and Nicotine Consumer) path-to-purchase.
+ Future proof the business by staying up to date on category trends, ahead of potential issues, as well as ensure full understanding and alignment with programs to effectively deliver on expectations.
+ Establish libraries of research and communicate /present critical findings, report summaries, research reports, and strategic recommendations to various levels of stakeholders
+ Provides strategic consumer research in support of the budget planning and quarterly business review process.

**Qualifications**
- REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Finance, or related field of study and 5+ years related work experience

Department Overview
The mission of Global Strategic Insights is to connect human truth with business strategy to drive growth. The Manager, Innovation Insights, will be responsible for coordinating and managing the insight for identifying and validating Innovation opportunities utilising foundational tools (Menu Architecture, Customer Journeys Insights, Occasion segmentation), continuous sources as well as foresight. They will work closely with a range of stakeholders across Marketing, Digital and the newly formed Restaurant Experience team, incorporating Strategic Innovation & Planning, Category Management, Restaurant Design, Restaurant Development, Operations and Supply Chain to identify innovation opportunities that unlock step changes in Customer Experience (CX) and Employee Experience (EX) and support teams as they innovate and validate solutions.
Duties
This role will report directly into the Director of Innovation Insights & Foresight with a dotted line to the Senior Director of Human and Innovation Insights
Key Responsibilities:
+ Synthesize insight from foundational tools (e.g. Menu Architecture, Customer Journey Insights, Occasion segmentation), continuous sources (Market data, CSAT, Brand Equity Tracker) and when relevant execute fresh research, to identify and prioritize a pipeline of innovation opportunities - focused on the most valuable problems to solve to unlock step changes in Customer Experience and Employee Experience
+ Partner with the Foresight Manager to ensure that prioritized innovation efforts address key consumer shifts
+ Partner with stakeholders across the Global Restaurant Experience to develop and execute learning plans that support the development, testing and validation of solutions that address innovation opportunities - with a particular focus on CX, EX and the Beverages Category
+ Own the Global Digital and Value Tracker aimed at providing a consistent measurement of how consumers are engaging with priority platforms and features
+ Manage relationships with existing insight vendors, work to continuously improve efficiency and value of existing tools, act as an advocate for agile insights tools & methodologies and where relevant identify more effective and agile innovation research methodologies to employ
Qualifications
+ Degree in business, ideally with marketing/consumer research qualification
+ 5+ years of experience in consumer insights roles either client-side or agency-side, proficient with a range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and tools

**ROLE SUMMARY:**
The Senior Manager, Consumer Insights plays a critical role in driving a consumer-centric culture at DSC, owning and evolving the brand's core target, and activating brand's North Star to guide campaigns, collaborations and innovation. **RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Own and lead consumer testing with core razors and shave aids. Continue to drive product quality improvement with in-home usage testings
+ Measure brand's upper-funnel performance: awareness, consideration and conversion funnel. Connect Numerator panel data, brand tracking data (e.g. Morning Consult or custom) to paint a full picture of brand health
+ Lead custom research, such as ad copy testing, TURF analysis, semiotics, concept testing, CSAT, conjoint analysis, path to purchase, shelf optimization, and other types of studies
+ Collaborate with DTC and Product Development teams to expand product reach and drive incrementally
+ Lead consumer research for short-term and long-term innovation, from line extensions to expanding into new consumer targets and categories
+ Own and manage relationships with research agencies, including but not limited to: Mintel, Accupoll, Toluna, Therefore, etc.
+ Influence the Exec Team with key insights deliverables and drive an organizational culture of consumer centricity
+ Manage insights team budget
**REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in data, data science, or equivalent; MBA or other advanced degrees preferred
+ 7+ years leveraging Walmart, Target and other retailer vendor data portals
+ 7+ years working with syndicated data: IRI, Nielsen, Numerator, Kantar and other sources
+ Experience in shopper insights or an equivalent field
+ Strong proficiency in go-to-market strategies and translating insights into actionable next steps against business objectives
+ Experience in connecting dots among various data sources for a cohesive story; data visualization

**POSITION TYPE:**

$130,000-$150,000 + Bonus
