The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead electrical design project teams to create world class designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on a variety of projects including power, process, corporate, healthcare, pipeline, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government and military facilities. The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.

+ Leads field inspections, installation, measurements or calculations for public and private clients.
+ Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications.
+ Build effective relationships with existing clients, customers and contractors and develop new business opportunities. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction goals and expectations are met.
+ Participate sales and marketing efforts and identify key pursuits.
+ Lead the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance.
+ Prepare and present project budgets and cost estimates. Report project performance.
+ Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to the electrical engineering practice. Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program and 7 years electrical engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred.
+ Bachelor Degree in Electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and 7 years electrical engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred.
+ Master Degree in Electrical Engineering and 6 years electrical engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred.

**What you'll do**
+ Collaborate with a team of innovative scientists to develop and refine cutting-edge hair care products for our brands Joico, Kenra, Pravana or got2b
+ Gain hands-on experience in the full product development process, from formulation to performance testing
+ Create batches of Henkel formulas for evaluation, while learning the functionality of individual ingredients
+ Monitor the stability of lab-prepared formulas over time to ensure product consistency and quality
+ Coordinate with cross-functional teams to submit formulas for various testing protocols
+ Participate in salon-based performance testing to evaluate real-world product effectiveness

+ An undergraduate student graduating in 2027 or 2028 or a master's / graduate student pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

**Additional information**
+ This internship is eligible for a housing stipend or relocation support. 
+ Henkel's Summer 2026 internship program starts on May 27th, 2026, and runs through mid-August.  
+ Recruitment for our 2026 internships starts in late August 2025 and runs through early March 2026 or until all our positions are filled.  
+ If selected to move forward in our recruitment process, you will receive an email from our talent acquisition team.

The salary for this role is $22-$27/hour. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.

**What you'll do**
+ Get hands-on experience creating product formulations in a lab setting for our brands all, Persil, Purex or Snuggle
+ Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams (analytical, packaging, process development) throughout the product development cycle
+ Research novel chemistries to enhance performance and benefits in detergent formulations
+ Design and conduct experiments to develop or improve laundry products
+ Prepare batches for internal testing and customer evaluations
+ Present findings and insights from research and evaluations to technical and non-technical audiences

+ An undergraduate student graduating in 2027, 2028 or 2029 pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Engineering or Material Science

**What you'll do**
+ Active involvement in the development and implementation of global product innovations.
+ Own set of responsibilities for specific projects in the field of our leading Beauty brands and products.
+ Apply scientific knowledge to practical problem solving and practical business applications, encompassing hair research, hair product formulation, method development and validation, data analysis and application.
+ Lead the assigned innovation projects, by proposing technical solutions and defining next steps.
+ Plan and/or coordinate the testing to ensure the product performance, safety and stability, according to product development requirements.
+ Connect with internal colleagues, especially with the Consumer Technical Insight department, to generate consumer insights, to formulate the products in a consumer centric way and to validate the formula performance with consumers.
+ Connect with raw materials suppliers to find raw materials with high potential to solve the technical challenges and test them.
+ Document, organize, present results.
**What makes you a good fit**
+ Bachelor's Degree, working towards a Master's Degree or PhD in science, especially chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, cosmetic science or comparable.
+ Strong digital and technical skills.

+ Highly motivated and passionate about creating innovative products.
