**QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience.
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Advanced degree, preferred

**About the Role**
The Continuing Education Specialist manages relationships for credentialing clients. This role is a full-time, permanent position requiring a fixed eight-hour shift during general office hours, Monday to Friday, and can be performed remotely.
**Role Responsibilities**
+ Process digital and paper state continuing education (CE), real estate and insurance course application for credentialing clients utilizing proprietary software to capture the data.
+ Review applicable databases for new providers and instructors and process applications.
+ Process payment and provide course approvals to course providers.
+ Respond to emails from clients.
+ Provide audit requests to providers, following up as needed.
+ Send renewal notices to continuing education course providers as required.
+ Prepare quarterly or annual pass/fail reports as requested by providers.
+ Respond to cases from credentialing clients regarding changes to exam or technical issues, liaising with other departments.
+ Track CE credits for assigned states, provide support for other states as necessary.
+ Adhere to policies and procedures for credential clients.
+ Process application invoices.
+ Takes incoming phone calls.
+ Willing and able to work off hours as necessary to complete time-sensitive projects
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements**
+ High school diploma or equivalent educational level expected. Bachelor's degree level preferred.
+ Experience in customer service or client management environments is preferred.
+ Experience in using a customer service ticketing system is preferred.
+ Experience in the testing industry is helpful.
+ Post-holder is expected to quickly develop working knowledge of our proprietary platforms.
+ Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook is desirable.

Continuing Education (CE) offers over 100 non-credit/credit classes each quarter, serves over 2,000 students a year, and is a self-supporting department. Our program areas include Allied Health courses, Personal Enrichment courses and Business, Professional and Career programs. CE provides training and education both on and off campus in order to serve the unique needs of our community.
The Program Specialist 2 plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Continuing Education program. The position functions as the program representative and resource and has extensive contact with program participants and outside entities. Responsibilities include independently coordinating classes and resources; serving as primary program liaison and providing consultation to participants, instructors and outside entities; assessing program needs; managing student staff; and applying program procedures and regulations.
This position is a classified full-time position, which is eligible for overtime. Schedule: Mon-Fri 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Salary Information : The salary range stated above reflects the starting step of Range 42 (Step C) and ending step (Step M) salary for this classified position and includes a 5% King County compensation provision. Essential Tasks
Reporting to the Continuing Education Associate Director, this position will:
- Provide program information and technical assistance to program participants, staff and outside entities regarding program content, policies and activities;
- Coordinate project details and represent Highline College at Continuing Education sponsored events, meetings and programs, including off-site location;
- Work with program instructors and representatives of outside organizations in defining and building quarterly schedule; collects syllabus and curriculum material for each course;
- Monitor course enrollment and makes decisions on class cancellations;
- Support program instructors; sends out instructor teaching agreements, communicates regarding schedule or program changes; explores solutions and recommends resolutions to classroom or course related issues or needs;

- Strategize with Assistant Director to refine course descriptions and structure to improve marketability;

The Workforce Development & Continuing Education Aide performs a full range of operations and administrative tasks in support of the workforce development and continuing education department which includes customer service (phone, written, email, walk-ins); registration of students; completion certificate generation; processing requisitions and supply orders; textbook inventory, purchases and communication with the bookstore; student verification requests; registration for the motorcycle basic rider program within the Workforce Development and Continuing Education department at a two-year Connecticut Community College for noncredit programs. Access to sensitive personal information requires professionalism and confidentiality. The Workforce Development & Continuing Education Aide will update department calendars, maintain budget oversight for textbooks and textbook inventories for all workforce programs. The position may also perform outreach tasks to inform the campus and community partners about the services of the College and various noncredit and workforce development programs offered campus and system wide.

Description of Work Unit
CSUVetCE
This position serves to direct the post-graduate veterinary continuing education (CE) programs, operated as CSUVetCE, for the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. CSUVetCE operates from the state-of-the-art CE facilities within the C. Wayne McIlwraith Translational Medicine Institute ( TMI ). These facilities include 11,000+ square feet of dedicated CE space in addition to shared use of TMI's 6655sf Grand Event Hall with 2070sf outdoor terrace, 3246sf 3rd Floor auditorium, 4556sf standing large animal examination / teaching space and more. Future growth of the program is projected to expand beyond the TMI facilities.
Launched as an idea in 2018, CSUVetCE is now the largest provider of university-based veterinary continuing education (CE) in North America (if not the world). Between our public-facing CE courses ( and our private, customized courses for practice network groups and specialty organizations, we annually provide more than 100in-personCE training courses on more than 200 calendar days to more than 2600 veterinarians from around the US and the world. Our growing library of "anywhere/anytime" online courses has further expanded our global reach. Our in-person and online courses span from the entry-skill level veterinarian to the advanced sub-specialist and currently cover canine, feline, equine and exotic species on topics such as general surgery, critical care and emergency case management, ultrasonography, endoscopy, laparoscopy, ophthalmology, arthroscopy, wound management, lameness evaluation, orthopedic coaptation, orthopedic surgery, dentistry, reproduction and more.

CSUVetCE is comprised of 13 full-time employees and 16 student workers and is organized into 3 units each centered around a key area of stakeholder experience (Online CE, CE Events & Hospitality, and CE Teaching Lab). CSUVetCE generates ~ 5M in annual revenues with a ~ 1.8M in profits to support the operations of other programs and brings international recognition to CSU , the CVMBS and its Departments, the VTH / VHS and the TMI .

The Associate Director of Continuing Education ( ADCE ) directs the CSUVetCE team that designs, develops, and delivers unparalleled continuing education programs year-round within the TMI . The ADCE must be on the forefront the veterinary CE industry and aware of market demands and emerging trends. The ADCE must be capable of responding to or leading the industry in new learning topics, techniques, and technologies. Responsibilities of the ADCE include creating and maintaining a comprehensive CE program that delivers content across a broad-spectrum of medical subject matter, species, and expertise levels. The ADCE must deftly balance visionary thinking with team leadership and fiscal responsibility. The ADCE should reach for new horizons while maintaining alignment with the university, college, veterinary health system, departments, and the TMI . The ADCE will lead, foster, and cultivate a healthy and vibrant work culture that is others-centric, hardworking, solution-oriented, positive/optimistic, dependable & accountable, and collaborative. Ultimately, the success of the ADCE can be measured from a broad array of team metrics including team member promotions & retention, courses operated/year, learners served/year (including repeat and new learners), geographic draw of learners, customer experience ratings, educators engaged/year, sponsors/vendors engaged/year, specialty organizations engaged/year, key marketing metrics (SM, website engagement, eblast subscribers/open & click rates), sponsorship metrics (total & new sponsor #, sponsorship dollars), total revenue, profit, and margin.

Required Job Qualifications

+ Collaborate effectively with the Lab Animal Resources ( LAR ) and VHS Anesthesia teams to assure regulatory compliance and to serve as conscientious stewards of any animals under our care.
+ Collaborate effectively with the Marketing and Outreach teams for TMI and CVMBS to successfully communicate, advertise, and promote CSUVetCE.
+ Collaborate effectively with the TMI Learning & Media Technology team to produce & deliver educational materials of the highest quality.
