HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER - MORGANTOWN, KENTUCKY
A Leading Company in Morgantown, Kentucky needs a Plant Human Resources Manager. If you are a Human Resources Manager with Labor Relations Expertise in an Industrial Manufacturing Plant Setting, this could be the Leadership opportunity for you. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays & Paid Vacation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will provide support and leadership in all areas of HR Management to the assigned Plant Location.
o Minimum five years of previous success as a Human Resources Manager leading an Industrial Manufacturing Plant.
o Prior Labor Relations experience is Required. Candidates should have experience in Contract Administration & Negotiations.
• Be a Champion of Safety
• Be a Key Member of the Plants Management Teams
• Ensure HR strategies are implemented including recruiting, training and development, HR policy and procedure administration and resolution.
• Provide effective advice and coaching
• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders
• Bring a Strong HR Presence on the Production Floor
• Be part of a supportive and growing Human Resources Team
• Some Travel and Overtime may be Required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree is Required in Business, Human Resources, or a Related Degree.
• Minimum five (5) years of previous success as a Human Resources Leader within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Prior labor relations experience including contract administration and negotiations highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively multi-task and properly handle competing priorities.
• Knowledge of HR compliance, employment laws, labor laws and regulatory requirements.
• Willingness and ability to understand the operational and financial functions of the business.
• Travel as necessary (minimum approximately 30-40%)
• Ability to use computer applications including spreadsheets, word processing, HR databases and email.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to proactively handle issues.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and lead change.
• Demonstrated ability to critically analyze a complex problem and develop solutions to that problem.
• Some Travel and Overtime may be Required.

Responsibilities
· Assist with administrative duties within the Human Resources Department.
· Process employment applications and maintain tracking log; assist in scheduling interviews and pre-employment testing; Submit applicant information to background screening service.
· Assist with the on-boarding process including reference checking of applicants, job offers, and new employee orientation.
· Audit Human Resources related files. Update and maintain employee personnel files.
· Assist employees in completing their required MyDevelopment courses.
· Develop PowerPoint presentations that are "eye catching" and informative.
· Assist with special projects on designated teams.
· Maintain information on employee communication boards including the electronic communication information system.
· Perform any other duties established by the Human Resource Manager.
Qualifications
· High School diploma
· Currently College Sophomore/Junior/Senior level pursuing Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development or related fields
· Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Proficient computer skills
· Cooperative attitude with team-oriented disposition
· Flexible schedule and ability to work extra hours as needed
· This position will require a minimum of 20 hours per week
