Role Definition
We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team of HR professionals in the Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD). This role is the process owner for the implementation of Corporate HR processes for PSLD including compensation and benefits planning (CEO awards and advanced compensation planning), Workday reporting, performance management, and PSLD's people scorecard. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and communicating policies and procedures within the corporate framework to PSLD leaders and employees. You will also be the voice of the division and collaborate with the owners of those processes including corporate compliance, total rewards, office of business practices, as well as other process partners.
What You Will Do:

Highly consultative and ability to build rapport with leaders including PSLD's senior leadership team and needs to be able to influence and coach our team members and leaders.

Collaborating with management as a strategic advisor helping identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.

Understanding the businesses supported including customers, suppliers, opportunities, challenges and short-, and long-term goals.

You will help the Director of Human Resources and Senior HR Manager create and implement the people strategy for PSLD using data from various sources like Workday, Employee Insights, etc., to identify opportunities and where to focus resources and efforts.

Process owner across division for the following HR processes: CEO awards, reporting, compensation + benefits, performance management, and strategic workforce planning

Process owner for the PSLD people scorecard and people analytics

Lead and participate on special projects/programs as needed

Focus on continuous improvement and workforce planning using lean principles

Support HR Managers on people related matters when needed

Proven ability to tell a story through metrics. Must be able to be clear and concise while presenting meaningful data analysis to the leadership teams.
What You Have:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in statistics, human resources, analytics, finance, market research, economics, mathematics, or a similar field with quantitative course work or related experience

Must have willingness to learn and use Power BI

Must have demonstrated experience of translating analysis to insights

**Internship Program Qualifications:**
+ Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year University/College pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree Human Resources, Business with an emphasis in HR, or related degree at the time of application and throughout the program.
+ Minimum 3.0/4.0 Cumulative GPA (no rounding).
+ 12 completed semester hours at a 4-year university before the start of internship or currently participating in a Caterpillar student program.
+ Must be able to relocate to indicated work location for the duration of the internship and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation

+ This is a 40-hour-per-week assignment, Monday through Friday, lasting 12 weeks in the summer. This position requires working onsite five days a week.
