**WHAT WOULD BE AMAZING TO HAVE:**
+ Associate or Bachelors degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
+ Six months or more direct UVM experience preferred (or forestry combined with equipment and tree trimming practices).
+ ISA Certified Arborist or ability to gain with 6 months of start preferred.
+ Prior experience with GIS software/technology a plus.
+ Being Bi-Lingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Welding Work Study Student
Federal Work-Study positions are part-time positions hired each semester and are for current Ivy Tech students only. The Welding Work Study Student will perform assigned duties to assist the Chair of the School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, and Applied Science in duties relating to the field and program.
Major Responsibilities
- Assist with material preparation for classes.
- Assist with the inventory of consumables/non-consumables used in the welding area.
- Assist with the maintenance of machinery and welding equipment in the lab.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties within the welding lab and classroom to maintain a professional appearance (sweeping floors, using the air wand to blow out welding booths and machines, wiping down equipment, wiping down tables, emptying shop trash cans, organizing delivery pallets, maintaining the gated outdoor space, etc)
- Assist with scrap material removal from campus.
- Assist with fluid maintenance involved with the plasma table.
Starting Salary Range : $15.00 per hour
Classification: Work Study
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently enrolled as a student at the college, with work-study eligibility.
- Experience: No prior experience is required, though customer service or office support experience is a plus. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Minimum Federal Work Study Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.

**Job Description**
An Advanced Work Packaging Manager oversees and plans work requiring sound engineering judgment in the breakdown of construction projects into smaller, discipline specific, manageable and planned pieces of work for installation by field crews. This position oversees the activities of the Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) group personnel and subcontractors. This position is responsible for recruiting, developing, retaining and providing training to personnel and coordinating and assigning responsibilities to group Leads. This position oversees the development of execution sequencing and works with various department managers to facilitate the transfer of information. May implement and execute activities on projects worldwide.
- Oversee the activities of group personnel and subcontractors
- Recruit, develop and retain group Lead and Planner personnel
- Ensure that personnel receive the appropriate training on both corporate and project specific organizational policies and procedures
- Ensure departmental goals and objectives are achieved
- Coordinate and assign responsibilities to Leads under his or her direction and ensure that these activities support construction requirements
- Other duties as assigned
**Basic Job Requirements**
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and ten (8) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Three (3) to five (5) years of experience within a management capacity
- Three (3) years of experience with Advanced Work Packaging as Lead
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to, coworkers, management, clients, vendors, contractors and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
**Other Job Requirements**
- Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations
- Ability to read and interpret drawings (P&ID's, isometrics, erection drawings, general arrangements, line designation tables, cable schedules, etc.)
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Strong constructability background
- Strong leadership and mentorship skills
- Possess strong problem solving, organizational and conflict resolution skills
- Effective communication and technical writing skills
- Ability to operate a 3D construction model software i.e navisworks
- Understanding of materials management systems, tracking and procedures
- Strong understanding of quality systems, testing requirements and documentation management requirements inclusive of turnover procedures
