A Brief Overview
The Social Work Manager is a part of and engages with the service line leadership team. The Manager has the responsibility to collaborate with the service line leadership team when decisions are made around program and staff development. The Manager plans, develops implements and evaluates health care services, programs, and activities; and acts as the department/center leader to ensure the goals and objectives are achieved. The Manager has the responsibility to collaborate with physicians and other health care providers to maintain and improve services. The Manager will be responsible for creating and revising standard work and implementing operational workflows to optimize departmental key performance indicators. Provides for fiscal program management by preparing and maintaining annual operating budget within prescribed parameters by monitoring income and expenses to ensure that budgetary targets are met; forecasts staffing, capital and operating budget needs in evaluating and reporting on the clinic(s)' market position, financial situation, space utilization, etc.; monitors performance of the plan, making adjustments as needed; prepares financial reports and projections; identifies opportunities to improve financial systems and services. Oversees service line efficiencies to ensure appropriate utilization of Health System resources including patient financial assistance.

Supervises and directs the work of professional and support staff to achieve optimum patient flow and cycle times appropriate for services; analyzes staffing mix and staff deployment to meet clinic needs; interviews and selects new employees; assures training and orientation for all new employees; monitors staff productivity; schedules work; coordinates reporting of payroll; establishes standards and evaluates performance; implements employee disciplinary process and responds to grievances as needed; assures employee competencies and long-term development through regular performance appraisals.

Education Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work from accredited program required.
Experience Qualifications
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible and related work experience, AND at least one (1) year being in a work lead/supervisory position.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $89.01 - $117.94 per hour

**A Brief Overview**
Social Work Clinician is the entry, developmental, and first working level of professional social work for
employees who are recent graduates as well as those who have professional social work experience, but are
not yet licensed as Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) by the State of California. Employees initially
work under close clinical supervision and are expected to develop casework and treatment skills as training
and experience are gained. As increasing knowledge and competency are demonstrated, supervision is
correspondingly reduced. The Social Work Job Family consists of three levels of professional non-supervisory
social work in a health care institutional setting at LPCH and SHC: Social Work Clinician, Licensed Clinical
Social Worker, and Advanced Clinical Social Worker. This job family is limited to those positions that require a
Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited school of social work. As a member of a
multidisciplinary health care team, Medical Social Workers provide appropriate intervention services and/or
discharge planning to patients and/or clients as well as their families receiving services within any department
of the Stanford University Medical Center. Work typically involves a variety of bio-psycho-social issues,
assessment of the social needs as related to the patient's/client's health status, and the development of a
plan of services, including advocacy, discharge planning, referrals and practical assistance necessary to
accomplish desired objectives. Provides consultation, orientation and training to health care staff on the
effects of bio-psycho-social, cultural and economic issues on the management of patient/client health needs.

**What you will do**
+ Collaborates with interdisciplinary health care teams to treat and plan for the social and medical needs ofpatients by consulting with other providers and making referrals. Devises, develops and implements treatmentplans as necessary. May make a diagnosis as part of a treatment plan.
+ Conducts initial assessment of all new patients to evaluate social, emotional and physical needs by applyingsocial work theories and techniques; interviews and evaluates patients and family members. Identifies factorswhich may interfere with obtaining maximum benefits from treatment.
+ Develops and implements patient management plans, including the coordination of referrals to specialty andsocial services, the recording of progress notes and the provision of continuity of care. Helps clients cope withenvironmental and psychological issues of illness by explaining options and treatments as well as makingappropriate referrals.
+ Manages assigned caseload. Prepares and maintains records and makes written and oral reports todocument case activity concerning patient care, counseling and therapeutic activities in accordance withdepartment, hospital, medical center and/or health system policies. Prepares reports and other documentsconcerning patients.
+ Participates in monitoring and evaluating the quality and appropriateness of patient care.
+ Provides supportive counseling, grief counseling, crisis intervention and other appropriate therapeuticservices to assist patients and families in coping with presenting symptoms and problems such as, forexample, coping with illness, accepting medical recommendations, and loss of function. Provides education topatients and families around issues related to adaptation to the patient's diagnosis, illness, treatment and/orlife situation.
**Education Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in related field required.Master's Degree in MSW preferred.

+ Ability to apply theories, principles and practices of medical social work and of social services deliverysystems in a hospital or medical center setting
+ Ability to gather data needed to needed to assess needs of patients and families
+ Ability to manage a caseload, recall case details; maintain confidentiality of information; determine theappropriate course of action in emergencies and other stressful situations
+ Ability to provide written case narratives and reports
+ Knowledge of and ability to apply effective assessment, interviewing, and counseling techniques
+ Knowledge of and ability to apply social work theories, principles and techniques
+ Knowledge of hospital and medical center resources to access and provide for patient care needs, and act onbehalf of client needs to obtain necessary services

We are seeking a skilled electrician with over 2 years of on-the-job electrician experience to join our team. This role involves installing electrical components, bending conduit, and wiring up security booths and small panels in a production setting.
+ The starting pay rate is $23 -26/hr (depending on experience)
+ South El Monte, CA - Stable shop work (no travel required)
+ We offer full benefits (medical, dental, vision)
+ 1st shift 6:30 am - 3:00 pm

**Responsibilities**
+ Bend conduit accurately and efficiently
+ Lay pipe and layout so wire can be installed
+ offsets, 90's, various pipe bending etc.
+ Install receptacles, switches, and ballasts
+ Wire up security booths as part of the production process
+ Wire up small panels
+ Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
+ Utilize hand tools effectively
**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ years of on-the-job electrician experience
+ 2+ year of experience bending conduit
+ Proficiency in installing electrical components such as receptacles, switches, and ballasts
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Shop electrical experience is a plus
+ Field experience will be considered
