Range Control Officer (PTR-2024-21971):
Bowhead seeks to network with Range Control Officers for an upcoming/potential effort, toprovide oversight, direction, and coordination in support of operations for the Primary Training Ranges (PTRs) managed by ACC at Avon Park Range, FL; Grand Bay Range, GA; Belle Fourche (Colony) EWS, WY; Dare County B&G Range, NC; Holloman B&G Ranges, NM; Poinsett EWR, SC; Mountain Home Ranges, ID; and Snyder EWS, TX. PTRs consist of Electronic Warfare Sites (EWS), Electronic Warfare Ranges (EWR), and Bombing and Gunnery Ranges (B&G). Manage and administer the work effort to assure fully adequate, disciplined, and timely completion of all requirements in a safe manner.
**Responsibilities**
+ Primary responsibility for matters of range safety during aircraft operations, aircraft emergencies, and ground weapons fire activities during active events of this nature occurring on the range. Weapons release clearance authority resides with the range control officer (except where the range control officer has specifically delegated this authority to a qualified flight lead, individual pilot, Forward Air Controller, or other briefed person).
+ Serve as subject matter expert for matters involving Joint Terminal Attack Control, Joint Close Air Support, Joint Combat Search and Rescue, Joint Command and Control, Joint Special Operations, Joint Readiness Exercises, multi-lateral exercises, and other military exercises as required.
+ Plan conferences, coordinate airspace and range scheduling, oversee facility use requirements, manage logistics requirements, assist with mission planning and scenario development, monitor mission execution, and resolve issues that impede progress and/or interfere with expected outcomes.
+ Responsible for air-to-air and air-to-surface training range control in accordance with AFI 11-214.
+ Conduct/attend after action reviews and evaluate, coordinate, analyzes, monitor, and follow up on corrective recommendations.
+ Attend all training required by the United States Air Force for each program. Maintain a current and qualified status for each program as prescribed by Air Force Instructions. Develop and maintain a continuity book for each programto include monitoring and controlling safe range operations.
+ Man Control Towers 15 minutes prior to any scheduled range flying activity during Class A operations.
**Qualifications**
+ Meet minimum qualifications for RCO's as defined in AFMAN 13-212V1, A5.4.24.
+ Military experience in one of the following, rated aircrew, Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC), Air Battle Manager (ABM), Enlisted Terminal Attack Controller (ETAC) or Air Traffic Controller (ATC), Weapons Director, a previous range control officer or equivalent test experience.
+ Military or civilian experience in the management, supervision or control of air operations on a conventional or tactical military range.
+ Expert knowledge of DoD, DAF, DA, ACC, AFSOC, USASOC missions, organizations, organizational structures and their functional interrelationships, and the laws, regulations, policies, precedents, and procedures in order to perform mission planning and analysis and to serve as lead oversight agent of Air/Ground Training Complex training and exercises
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
+ Comprehensive knowledge of range and airspace scheduling and coordinating issues related to Military Operations Areas, Restricted Areas, and Ranges.
+ Expert knowledge of pertinent range operations policies, directives, and products and applicable operational methods and processes. Ability to perform duties in a stressful environment.
+ Ability to communicate both orally and in writing for conducting conferences, presenting briefings, preparing correspondence, and writing findings and reports.

Bowhead seeks Part-Time Access Control Officers to support the Access Control Support Services Contract for the Cyber Protection Brigade and the 11th Cyber Warfare Battalion at Ft. Eisenhower, GA.
**Responsibilities**
- Control access of personnel, equipment and media entering and leaving the controlled spaces.
- Execute USACPB or 11CWB entry/exit program requirements that include inspections of computers, network equipment, media in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Prevent entry of unauthorized items and conduct visual inspections of book bags, handbags, briefcases and related times to prevent the introduction of prohibited items, hazardous materials and other items not authorized for control spaces.
- Verifying personnel accessing controlled spaces have the specific badge required to access the facility.
- Verify personnel security access of visitors using Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or its successor system, National Background Investigation Services (NBIS).
- Provide escort support services to uncleared personnel in accordance with established procedures.
- Issue the appropriate visitor badge in accordance with procedures for the controlled space.
- Deny access of unauthorized Portable Electronic Devices (PEDs) into controlled spaces and report violations if they should occur.
- Support and execute Random Antiterrorism Measures (RAMS) which may include random inspections of the controlled space perimeter at various, unpredictable times and log findings per SOPs.
- Properly open and secure controlled spaces using CDX-series locks, ICIDS alarms and annotate security forms in accordance with DoD and CPB procedures.
- Monitor ICIDS alarms and annunciation panels for alarm conditions and notify the appropriate authorities per established procedures.
- Document and report security related activities to a cognizant security officer and the military police, if required, IAW the applicable organization's SOP and annotate the activity in the logbook.
- Accomplishing mandatory security awareness, Intelligence Oversight and safety training.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum of a High School diploma (or GED equivalent).
- Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as an ACO or equivalent security experience.
- Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently.
- Ability to construct clear writing and develop concise, accurate and detailed reports.
- Experience or training in the protection of personnel, facilities and equipment.
- Ability to receive and comprehend specialized training on the use and operation of the SMS to operate ICIDS alarms, CCTV, and access control features.
- Ability to receive and comprehend specialize training on the use and operation of a Government-purchased X-ray device, other screening equipment and Wireless Intrusion Detection System (WIDS).
- Possess skills/knowledge of performing office automation work that includes word processing, electronic mail, spreadsheets, presentations, and other personal computer applications; typing a variety of materials from rough draft into final form including reports, and forms; maintaining records, historical records; security applications e.g., DISS, NBIS.

+ Serve as subject matter expert for matters involving Joint Terminal Attack Control, Joint Close Air Support, Joint Combat Search and Rescue, Joint Command and Control, Joint Special Operations, Joint Readiness Exercises, multi-lateral exercises, and other military exercises as required.
+ Plan conferences, coordinate airspace and range scheduling, oversee facility use requirements, manage logistics requirements, assist with mission planning and scenario development, monitor mission execution, and resolve issues that impede progress and/or interfere with expected outcomes.
+ Responsible for air-to-air and air-to-surface training range control in accordance with AFI 11-214.
+ Conduct/attend after action reviews and evaluate, coordinate, analyzes, monitor, and follow up on corrective recommendations.
+ Attend all training required by the United States Air Force for each program. Maintain a current and qualified status for each program as prescribed by Air Force Instructions. Develop and maintain a continuity book for each programto include monitoring and controlling safe range operations.
+ Man Control Towers 15 minutes prior to any scheduled range flying activity during Class A operations.
**Qualifications**
+ Meet minimum qualifications for RCO's as defined in AFMAN 13-212V1, A5.4.24.
+ Military experience in one of the following, rated aircrew, Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC), Air Battle Manager (ABM), Enlisted Terminal Attack Controller (ETAC) or Air Traffic Controller (ATC), Weapons Director, a previous range control officer or equivalent test experience.
+ Military or civilian experience in the management, supervision or control of air operations on a conventional or tactical military range.
+ Expert knowledge of DoD, DAF, DA, ACC, AFSOC, USASOC missions, organizations, organizational structures and their functional interrelationships, and the laws, regulations, policies, precedents, and procedures in order to perform mission planning and analysis and to serve as lead oversight agent of Air/Ground Training Complex training and exercises
