The purpose of this job is to administer and maintain the process control systems and IT systems for both the INEOS and The Dow Chemical Company production plants.

- Investigate incidents, abnormal conditions and lead/assist with root cause investigations

- Develop and ensure compliance to a schedule to test critical assets and protective equipment.

Manufacturing Excellence

- Provide day-to-day process control support for the INEOS and Dow assets which includes preparation and support for unit shutdowns, turnarounds, and start-ups.
- Troubleshoot process, process alarm, DCS and process control network issues
- Regulatory and advanced control loop tuning and monitoring of control loop performance
- Control strategy improvements
- Daily process performance monitoring (e.g. quality, environmental, energy, stability, reliability, etc.)

- Assist operating facility's DCS operations and performance by providing technical support and troubleshooting and recommend the development of programs for improvement.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge in, specifying field instrumentation, specifying analyzer systems, developing schematics including motor controls, interfacing third party packages to the DCS/SIS systems.
- Oversee the field construction, verification of proper installation, performance of loop checks and the oversight of final commissioning of DCS/PLC equipment and instrumentation associated with capital projects.
- Define spare parts and preventative maintenance requirements for DCS and related components.
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 5- 20 years of DCS design, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance experience, or a Class 1 Instrument technician with 3 years' experience and some DCS familiarity and direct programmable logic controller experience, or DCS technician with a minimum of 2 years direct DCS configuration experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Responsible for managing and developing the systems used to monitor, control, and regulate operations and processes at the Pinto Valley Concentrator and Tailings Plants. The process control specialist also has a leading role supporting field equipment troubleshooting of electrical issues as well as identifying strategies to preserve the function of servers and network hardware. This position works closely with the electrical, metallurgical, operations, IT and assets and engineering teams to design and develop effective solutions to optimize control loops, maintenance strategies and provide expertise, knowledge and guidance for all areas related to control engineering.

- Process Control Management: Lead development and optimization of advanced control strategies, PLC logic, and equipment interlocks to enhance plant stability and throughput. - An Engineering Degree or Technology Diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics, Systems Design, or related program
- Experience in the Automation industry as an Engineer, Technologist and/or project manager, technically delivering on projects is an asset
- A keen interest to work with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC-5, SLC500, ControlLogix), HMI Programming, AutoCAD/Electrical Design, Debug/Testing/Commissioning
- Knowledgeable regarding automotive industry or manufacturing processes
- A proven self-starter who is motivated by solving complex challenges
