We are actively seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing electrical engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse, complex building projects while leading junior team members and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary project team.

Key Responsibilities – Senior Electrical Engineer:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop junior electrical engineering staff

  • Plan, design, and coordinate electrical systems for various building projects in compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and other codes

  • Perform and review electrical calculations, including load calculations, voltage drop, short-circuit analysis, and equipment sizing

  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and permit applications

  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of electrical design work and ensure accuracy of construction documents

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients throughout the project lifecycle

  • Participate in project meetings, including design reviews and construction coordination

  • Support construction administration including RFI responses, submittal reviews, and site visits

  • Contribute to proposal development and business development initiatives

  • Ensure project budgets, timelines, and scope are maintained

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • PE license (preferred) or EIT with a path toward licensure (NY and NJ preferred)

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience a plus

  • In-depth knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ANSI standards, and applicable building codes

  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction documents

  • Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles

  • Previous leadership or mentorship of junior engineers

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; load calculation software experience preferred

  • Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel locally (Tri-State area) up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in building electrical system design

  • Experience with electrical power analysis software (e.g., SKM, ETAP)

Bechtel is the licensing, engineering, procurement, and construction partner on TerraPower's Natrium team. Selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for its Advanced Reactor demonstration Program, Natrium is participating in a DOE initiative to re-establish U.S. leadership in nuclear energy that provides matching funds to industry to design and build an operational advanced reactor. As part of Keurig Dr Pepper's Product Design & Engineering organization, the Sr. Controls Engineer will work within cross-functional teams to define controls solutions and strategies for our current and next generation Brewer Appliances.
