Our client is a leading publicly traded technology operator. They are recruiting a Manager of Controls and Risk Management to bolster their Information Security group. This team supports the control framework globally (ISO 27001/27002, Sarbanes-Oxley and Payment Card Industry compliance to name a few) and enhances the information security and risk management program.
Scope of Role;
- Manage the IT control framework globally and drive the design and implementation of SOX controls.
- Conduct and monitor third-party system certifications and conduct security and privacy impact assessments for existing and new initiatives across the Company.
- Implement/ update GRC tools within the department to further the visibility of controls and access review process, resulting in more efficient processes throughout the Company.
- Perform issue analysis and risk mitigation procedures in coordination with management.
- Provide guidance and coaching to control owners globally on audit methodology and evidence requirement improving audit experience for internal and external auditors.
- Oversee access reviews, SOCI/II reviews, and security policies.
- Conduct and monitor third-party system certifications and conduct security and privacy impact assessments for existing and new initiatives across the Company.
- Run various trainings promoting awareness of cybersecurity, governance, risk, and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience required.
- 5 plus years of IT, information security, or IT audit experience required.
- Experience with IT general controls, information security, and privacy regulations strongly preferred.
- Experience developing, documenting, and maintaining security and/or privacy frameworks, standards, and controls preferred.
- Knowledge of risk management and assessment methods and technologies and/or audit experience required.
- Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley required.
- Knowledge of Information Security Standards (e.g., ISO 27001/27002, NIST) and Data Privacy
- Compliance Regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) preferred.

**Essentials Functions/Responsibility**
The Associate, Business Control & Risk Management operates within the First Line of Defense and is accountable to assist the CIB Business
Control Unit in driving effective and consistent business line execution against the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
Specifically, the Associate works to identify, assess key risks and control effectiveness throughout the assigned business line by driving business unit adherence with applicable risk frameworks, Corporate/Business Line policies and standards. The incumbent will also assist with completion of business line risk initiatives, as assigned, such as risk assessments, KRI/KPI development and monitoring, and on-time remediation of issues.
The Associate must be able to effectively partner with various stakeholders.
**Job Function Description**
Monitors activities to minimize the Corporate & Investment Bank's (CIB) exposure to risk. Activities may include quantitative analysis, risk identification and remediation. Represents or supports the reputation of the company to minimize compliance and regulatory risk by resolving issues and ensuring adherence to company and legal standards. Responsible for ensuring that all of the company's activities adhere to the necessary rules and regulations, and that the company complies with legal/regulatory statutes and jurisdictions.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Facilitate scenario analysis exercises in coordination with business units and CIN Business Control Officers (BCO), documenting key assumptions, impacts, and mitigation strategies.
+ Support the BCOs in the execution of the firm's Material Risk Identification and Assessment (MRIA) program, ensuring timely updates and accurate documentation in risk management systems.
+ Assist in the development and refinement of key risk indicators (KRIs), and monitor thresholds to identify emerging trends and trigger appropriate escalation.
+ Prepare and review enterprise risk MIS and reporting for BCOs, senior management and governance forums, with a focus on material risk trends, KRI performance, and scenario outcomes.
+ Partner with BCOs and risk owners to ensure enterprise risks are appropriately identified, assessed, and managed in alignment with risk appetite and control frameworks.
+ Maintain risk program documentation and support regular reviews and enhancements to scenario analysis, material risk, and KRI processes.
**Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of the financial services sector, particularly the products and services of a commercial or investment bank.
+ Advanced understanding of the regulatory environment and how the risks of the products and services the bank offers are viewed by the Second Line of Defense and regulators.
+ Strong project management skills.
+ Ability to build internal and external networks of information resources within the risk management ecosystem.
+ Operational Risk Management Experience

+ Have thorough knowledge of various energy management systems, heating, ventilation systems, air conditioning and refrigeration systems;( Novar, Danfoss, and Emerson CPC).
+ Maintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.
+ Think analytically and independently, install, program, and troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair control systems for HVAC-R, refrigeration, and lighting controls in a grocery store and cold storage atmosphere.
+ Use and maintenance of trade specific materials, tools, instrumentation, and equipment used during the installation of EMS systems.
+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret plans, specifications, contract documents, control drawings, service bulletins, technical procedure manuals, equipment specifications, and governmental regulations. Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures.
+ Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
+ Ability to troubleshoot electrical and controls problems, offer solutions and implement them
**Qualifications**
**Formal Education Requirement:**
**Required Level:** High School OR Ten years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
**Preferred level:** Technical Degree
**Minimum Years of Experience Necessary:** 5 year of exp with HS/GED
**Additional Information:**
+ EPA 608 Certification preferred but not required.
+ Valid Driver's license and a safe driving record.
+ Physically able to climb ladders, work at high elevations and lift objects up to fifty pounds.
+ Excellent verbal and written communications skills, detail oriented and highly motivated.
+ Mechanical aptitude.
+ Ability to work nights, weekends and out of town as required.
+ Ability to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities/task in a fast-paced work environment.
