Sr. Conversational Designer

GEICO is seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Sr. Conversational Designer with expertise in Generative AI, prompt engineering, and LLM-based systems. This role will shape the future of customer interactions across conversational platforms, designing experiences that are intuitive, scalable, and powered by cutting-edge AI technologies. You'll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers from concept to execution, ensuring our conversational experiences are natural, effective, and aligned with customer needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and optimize conversational flows, wireframes, and mockups across chatbots, IVR, voice assistants, and LLM-powered interfaces.
• Create effective prompts and interaction strategies for Generative AI systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver intuitive, AI-enhanced customer experiences.
• Apply human-centered research methodologies to advocate for customer needs and behaviors.
• Analyze existing conversation paths to identify opportunities for improvement and AI-driven expansion.
• Develop and maintain design guidelines and best practices for conversational and generative interfaces.
• Partner with technical teams to integrate NLP,TTS/STT, machine learning, and LLM capabilities into cross-channel experiences.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in conversational design, including voice and chat interfaces.
• Proven application of NLP and conversation design principles in customer-facing experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, LLMs, and RAG systems.
• Familiarity with Generative AI platforms and their integration into customer journeys.

• Proficiency with tools such as Figma, Voiceflow, Amazon Lex, and other conversational platforms.

Annual Salary $104,550.00 - $172,200.00. The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate.

ASRC Federal is looking for an experienced AI Engineer - Intermediate to support their work with the U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC) Chief Information Officer (CIO) G6 at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The AI Engineer will lead a small, focused team consisting of an AI engineer and a Data Architect supporting the development and implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) tools across ACC. These tools will enhance decision-making, optimize workflows, improve communication, and automate key project management functions.

The engineer will lead cross-functional collaboration efforts with data scientists, cybersecurity experts, and subject matter experts. Objectives of this Role:

• Lead Development of advanced proven Physics-based AI/ML algorithms/models.
• Support innovating/cutting edge research in the areas of AI as applied to System and or UAS/Avionics subsystems.
• Be the system architect for AI development.
• Manage and Lead a multidisciplinary staff (scientists, analysists and engineers) to delivery cutting edge AI solutions to programs.
• Write proposals, articles, and attend conferences.
• Train and mentor junior AI staff.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

• Lead Solutions for AI systems and embedded Avionics systems and subsystems.
• Lead Solutions for Aircraft AI/ML sensor fusion.
• Review AI/ML Architectures/algorithms to verify/validate it meets integrated design requirements that have been developed by new- mid level AI staff.
• Manage all AI progress on projects and research.
• Lead Integration with a multidisciplinary engineering team to develop AI related hardware.

Requirements:

• Requires a Masters or a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Systems Engineering, Physics or directly related degree field with a focus on UAS, Avionics, AI, and or ML.
• Advanced degrees will be considered in lieu of some years of experience.
• 12+ years: Lead Development of firmware for AI solutions
• 12+ years: Machine Learning as applied to Data Science and technology.
• 12+ years: Leading AI and other software using Python, Tensor Flow, Keras, and PyTorch.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING 

Experience:  

• 10+ years of professional experience working in data & analytics in a project management, engineering, or development role.  

• 5+ years of relevant experience in an external consulting or industry role, with experience leading teams in data, analytics, and/or AI. 

• 3+ years of professional experience in AI application development, with a strong track record of delivering production-ready solutions preferred.  

Technical Expertise:  

• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Copilot Studio (building custom copilots, leveraging plugins/connectors).  

• Proficiency in Azure AI services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Bot Framework).  

• Strong skills in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and/or low-code development environments.  

• Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, and integration architectures.

The estimated salary range for this role is $170,000-$220,000 annually. This is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skillset and years and depth of experience. This may differ from location to location.
