For our MIR and AMMEGA Production team, we are currently looking for a Conveyor Belt Technician

As a Conveyor Belt Technician, you will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of conveyor belts and related industrial products.

Hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

A day in the life of a Conveyor Belt Technician can look like

• Processing orders in a safe and efficient manner and operating light industrial equipment.
• Communicating with supervisor regarding assigned orders, scheduling, and other production issues.
• Ensuring timely shipping of belting product; receiving shipments in a timely manner and ensuring delivery to correct recipient.
• Maintaining shipping/receiving department with needed supplies.
• Processing and maintaining reports.
• Traveling to various locations to install product. Occasional overnight travel required. (We will pay for gas, meal, and hotel while traveling overnight).
• Providing on-call assistance as required.
• Recognizing appropriate inventory usage and report low levels to supervisor, maintaining cycle counts log, and participating in once-a-year inventory.

We are looking for you to have

• A High School diploma.
• A valid driver's license.
• Flexibility around scheduling - ability to work occasional nights and/or weekend coverage.
• Previous industrial or production experience.
• Strong fundamental math skills.
• Ability to regularly lift heavy weight materials (75+ pounds on average).
• Ability to regularly bend, stoop, rotate arms and upper body; ability to frequently push, pull, sit, stand, and reach. Some climbing is required.

Job Scope:

• Perform Full Conveyor Belt Change-outs and Mechanical Repairs

• Conduct Pulley and Idler Maintenance and Alignments

• Complete Preventative Maintenance Routines on Conveying Systems

• Safely Operate Tools and Mechanical Equipment used in Belt Installation and Repair

• Travel to Various Job Sites and Work in Rugged Industrial Environments (Per Diem, Drive Time, and Housing Provided for Duration of those Travel Projects)

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 Years of Hands-on Experience with Conveyor Systems in Industrial or Mining Environments

• Active MSHA Certification Part 46 or 48; Acceptable OSHA 10 or 30 Cert is Preferred

• Able to Pass Drug Screen and Background Check

• Strong Mechanical Aptitude

• Comfortable Working in Cement, Aggregate, or Energy Plant Settings

• Able to Travel and Commit to the Full Project Deadline

The role of the Conveyor Controls Engineer requires thorough knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniques, as well as PLC/HMI programming and CAD skills. Responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
