In this position, you’ll experience unparalleled collaboration with many functions of the organization – Engineering, Customer Excellence, Marketing, Supply Chain, Creative, ID, Quality, Manufacturing and Senior Executives, offering you exposure and interaction rarely found in other roles in the organization. You’ll play a pivotal role in leading product and data analysis to determine reasons for returns, leveraging your learnings to drive sustainable solutions that provide measurable long-term improvements.  

Responsibilities:  

• Analyze customer complaints and investigate field failures – translate learnings into actionable engineering and consumer-facing initiatives. You will represent the voice of the consumer and will coordinate corrective actions, follow-up, and reporting  

• Drive continuous improvement of product quality, through reduction and prevention of non-conformances while defining and implementing metrics to evaluate the impact of continuous improvement initiatives  

• Support suppliers in 8D responses and regular quality resolution update meetings, including written investigation reports and review supplier corrective actions  

• Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, safety reviews, and review the manufacturing and test documentation to ensure customer quality requirements are met or exceeded  

• View the entire consumer experience at a macro level to identify experience detractors and track product performance, communicating key learnings and developments to appropriate work flows for action  

• Partner with SharkNinja’s Customer Excellence team to monitor consumer reception and sentiment in field.  

• Leads input tracker meetings with cross functional teams. Discuss top issues and delegate actions to cross functional team  

• Conduct critical analysis on engineering changes (ECN) to make sure changes have no impact on degradation of quality of product  

• Tracks digital escalations and create accurate responses for customers to better understand our product  

• Manage product health reporting and push for continuous five-star experience via iterative design improvements.

Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in mechanical engineering, quality, product development, human factors engineering, or a related field, preferably at a consumer goods company  

• 4+ years of related engineering experience, preferably at a consumer goods company

• Ability to multi-task and handle tasks with competing priorities effectively.

As part of Structural Systems Engineering, you will help engineer world class structural systems and components on all of Ford's ever-evolving platforms including unibody, body on frame, ICE, and EV architectures. Components included in Structural Systems are body in white, battery trays, full frames, sub frames, body mounts, skid plates, trailer hitches, tow/recovery hooks, heat shields, and spare tire winches.
Core engineering is responsible for all Structures core documents as well as assisting component design engineers with the design, testing, sign off, and launch of cost effective high quality structural systems and components
**In this position.**
+ Institutionalize knowledge and best practices by authoring core documents including engineering requirements, design rules, engineering specifications, test methods, and failure mode avoidance documents such as quality history, interface diagrams, boundary diagrams, DFMEA, critical and significant characteristics.
+ Develop, author, and implement standards based permanent corrective actions and training to correct systemic failures and escape points.
+ Ensure component engineers are designing, testing, and signing off components with quality by conducting design reviews and reviewing and approving DVP&R evidence as part of the engineering sign off process.
**What you'll do.**
+ Conduct design reviews with engineers to optimize component and system designs.
+ Joining feasibility assessments of new, program specific material combinations.
+ Lead planning, execution, and evaluation of new materials, new coatings, and new joining methods via internal and external laboratories in conjunction with Materials Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, R&A, suppliers, and other Structures Technical Specialists and SMEs which deliver future strategic Structural Systems solutions.
+ Play both support and lead roles solving production issues with component engineers, supplier technical assistance, materials engineering, purchasing, and vehicle operations engineers. Examples include stop ship/stop build, field service actions, warranty, and material shortages.
+ Support cross functional teams to identify, develop and deliver new / strategic design solutions which deliver BIC Quality, Cost and Weight objectives.
+ Benchmark competition and develop advanced projects to ensure Ford is BICClose cooperation with CAE team for the development of simulation methods, material cards, and joining method cards.
**You'll have.**
+ B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related physical science field of study.
+ 5+ years as an automotive structural design engineer or similar experience.
+ Experience in all program phases from Pre-Program through Launch including one major program.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Excellent problem solving skills.
+ Experience writing engineering requirements and engineering specifications.
+ Experience creating failure mode avoidance documents, specifically DFMEAs and identifying significant and critical characteristics.
+ Demonstrated ability to provide improvements in customer satisfaction, reduction in warranty, or total cost reduction.

What Youll Do

This is a deep systems role for someone who lives and breathes lakehouse internals, knows open source cold, and wants to push the limits of whats possible with Delta, Iceberg, and Parquet at petabyte scale.

• Own the ACID backbone. Design and harden Delta and Iceberg transaction layers so that petabyte-scale tables can time-travel in microseconds and schema evolution becomes a non-event.
• Turn metadata into rocket fuel. Build compaction, caching, and pruning services that keep millions of file pointers within 50ms from lookup to plan.
• Squeeze more signal per byte. Optimize Parquet layoutsfrom column ordering to dictionary and bit-packing, bloom filters, and zone-map indexesto cut scan I/O by 10x on real-world workloads.
• Ship adaptive indexing with research. Co-invent machine-driven indexes that learn access patterns and automatically re-partition nightlyno more manual analyze table ever again.
• Scale the engine, not the babysitting. Write Spark/Scala pipelines that autoscale across S3, GCS, and ADLS; expose observability hooks; and survive chaos drills without triggering a pager storm.

Summary

Brave is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a focus on blockchain integrations with Brave. You'll work on our Brave Wallet. This is a high profile and impactful, hands-on position. Work together with our product designers, developers, and privacy/security experts to help us take our wallet to the next level.

• Work closely with the backend team to understand intricacies and help iterate on components used to build our wallet libraries.
