In this position.
You will be responsible for delivering the brake NVH performance for the program(s) you are assigned to. In your role as a noise champion, you will lead a team of suppliers, CAE, D&R and brake development engineers to develop the brake NVH attribute to meet Ford requirements. NVH development at Ford is tied to GPDS timing. We start with CAE in the UNV0-2 phases, progress to dyno testing on the corner dynamometers at TPV and continue to final signoff on DCV vehicles for PEC.
What you'll do.
+ Lead the brake NVH development activities for assigned program(s).
+ Develop test plans, manage test parts and test schedules.
+ Review and analyze CAE data, test data and parts.
+ Lead cross functional team through NVH development (CAE, D&R, Suppliers, Development Engineers).
+ Manage Sign-off testing and reporting.
+ Monitor warranty and TGW data for emerging NVH issues.
+ Evaluate brake NVH performance on corner dynos, chassis dynos and vehicles.
+ Work with Core NVH activity to schedule dynos and maximize dyno up time.
You'll have.
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar.
2 years of experience with foundation brake component D&R and/or NVH CAE.

**What you'll do:**
+ Lead Core Sensor design work for ADAS sensors per the Global Product Development System process on various vehicle programs.
+ Provide cost-efficient and quality parts on time, maintaining ownership and governance of component-specific robustness quality documentation (DFMEA, DVP&R, SCCAF, etc.).
+ Lead the Sourcing Process, including investment, piece price, and tooling cost reviews, and prepare initial and final sourcing documents including ESOW, Engineering Specifications, System and Component Requirements.
+ Manage and execute software technical design reviews and releases for prototype, production, and service
+ Lead and perform Failure Mode Avoidance and Functional Safety analyses to examine potential failure modes and design suitable prevention strategies.
+ Conduct Technical Design Reviews, interfacing with Ford application activities and supplier engineering (software, hardware, mechanical, etc.).
+ Lead in the creation and signoff of E/E information like WCCA, Device Transmittals, Specifications, and Electrical Schematics.
+ Support Vehicle Operations activities to determine appropriate assembly and testing processes.
+ Interface with other engineers, Vehicle Engineering, suppliers, and management to ensure compliance with required specifications and efficient critical decision-making.

Drive troubleshooting and development of solutions for Hardware, Software, and packaging issues found during validation and launch using problem-solving best practices (8D, Is/Is not, 3L5W, fishbones, etc.).
+ Support prototype builds and vehicle launch, which may require travel.
+ Identify validation, durability, and functional testing required for a given program's change scope.
+ Support ongoing warranty reduction and improvements.

+ BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or strongly related equivalent
+ Experience with packaging electronic modules and components in vehicles

**JOB OVERVIEW**
The Core Applications Engineer is responsible for managing the enterprise level applications that are utilized by the business. This requires the candidate to maintain the environment through maintenance, upgrades, and granting
emoving access as well as working with the end users to resolve issues that are reported into our service desk tool. The candidate will also work with the other members of the team to support the needs of the business.
This position reports to the IT Manager, Core Applications and allows you the flexibility to work from one of our Platform Headquarter offices (Irvine, California, Bozeman, Montana or Logan, Utah.
**As the Core Applications Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:**
+ Manage and support architecture of cloud infrastructure
+ Work with end users to resolve issues and provide operational support
+ Implement an automation strategy
+ Manage and configure systems
+ Document processes with some development of processes
+ Participate in an On-Call rotation, periodic work may be required during early mornings, evenings and/or weekends
**You have:**
+ Experience in Microsoft Azure, Amazon, AWS, IIS, Active Directory, System Center Suite, Configuration Manager, Windows, Winders Server, SQL, Server, Exchange, Jira and Confluence
+ Versed in PowerShell, VBS Script, Python and Bash

This is a full-time position in our San Mateo, CA headquarters office. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office with the option to work from home one day per week.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Work with a team of talented engineers, both starting projects from scratch and also working within the existing code base
  • Build the back-end wiring, application logic, and UI for our products
  • Help drive the development process for your team, including design, coding, documenting, testing, debugging, and tuning
  • Provide accurate estimates, evaluate feasibility, and assess new platforms and technologies for project implementations
  • Collaborate and communicate clearly across multiple development teams to design and release amazing products
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Excellent programming skills in Java or other object-oriented language
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for improving education through technology
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is $116,000 to $150,000 + equity + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
