**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

**Education and Experience**
+ High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred

**Job Summary**
The Corporate Trainer will be responsible for developing and delivering internal training programs for SHI employees across multiple disciplines, including but not limited to leadership and management development, professional growth direction/soft skills, workshops, and effective tools/applications. This person will work with business stakeholders to determine training needs, develop curricula/training material, and deliver training engagingly and effectively.  Training will be provided in various ways, including in-person, remote, self-paced, and module-based learning for new and existing SHI employees. 
This position reports to the Learning & Development organization at SHI. 
**Role Description**
+ Determinetraining requirements, create curriculum, and develop content based on the business requirements of SHI Business Unit and Corporate L&D leadership 
+ Deliver high-quality, effective, and engaging training to SHI leadership and employees to improve productivity and the ability to support internal stakeholders and customer demands, as well as achieve SHI business objectives 
+ Evaluate outcomes of training and improve/update content as needed based on changing business requirements and/or employee feedback 
+ Collaborate with the instructional design team in developing and reviewing course materials 
+ Have a solid understanding of SHI's value proposition and SHI's core offerings to ensure alltrainings arepractical and focused on driving SHI business outcomes 
+ Ensure all training is managed or delivered in SHI Learn to ensure tracking and adoption of the SHI Learn platform

About the Role

What You'll Do

  • This role's responsibilities include consistency and leadership in maintaining Jon & Vinny’s brand standards while adapting to different environments. This position requires extensive travel, strong time management, and the ability to train and lead  kitchen staff while ensuring high-quality cuisine is delivered across all venues. This role will report to the Director of Culinary Operations, with a line of reporting to the Director of People Services (HR) to ensure training and development quality and consistency.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Culinary Training & Staff Development
    • Lead all phases of culinary training with an emphasis on learning, growth, and long-term development.
    • Identify, mentor, and develop talent internally and externally.
    • Facilitate training sessions that accommodate multiple learning styles—auditory, visual, and kinesthetic.
    • Create and revise training materials using a variety of modalities (videos, manuals, hands-on demonstrations, digital platforms).
    • Adapt training delivery and environment to meet the needs of different learners.
    • Foster psychological safety by encouraging questions, feedback, and experimentation without fear of failure.
    • Read and respond to both verbal and non-verbal cues to keep learners engaged and supported.
    • Evaluate training effectiveness and iterate based on learner feedback and operational needs.
    • Provide counsel and guidance to kitchen staff, supporting ongoing development and performance improvement.
    • Provide insight with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and development.

  • Operational Oversight 
    • Support new store openings of Jon & Vinny’s.
    • Manage kitchen operations in various Jon & Vinny’s locations when needed.
    • Ensure consistency of recipes, portion control, and maintain consistent food quality across all sites. Implement and update all culinary dish outlines to ensure consistency throughout all locations to represent the Jon & Vinny’s brand.
    • Ensure refinement of menu items, food packaging, and food execution.
    • Understand and train chefs  to utilize DoorDash throttle appropriately.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Culinary Operations to manage food costs, control waste, and maximize efficiency in all kitchens without sacrificing quality. 
    • Management of inventory control and sourcing ingredients from designated vendors. 
    • Assistance with R&D of menu items for tastings.
    • Ensure that all kitchen activities comply with health and safety regulations, including food handling, preparation, storage, and hygiene standards.
    • Daily reporting to the Director of Culinary Operations and ownership on plans and improvements made. 
    • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Culinary Operations.
  • Traveling & Event Catering
    • Travel to company venues, pop-up events, corporate events/buyouts, and other assignments to oversee meal preparation and presentation. 
    • Assist with training, development, and staffing of off-site pizza related events.

Qualifications:

**Position Requirements**
+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
+ Must have valid Oregon State Instructor license and DPSST license.
+ High school diploma or GED required.

As a Corporate Sales Trainer, you will play a critical role in onboarding, training, and ensuring the rapid success of new Sales Representatives in our high-performance, fast-paced sales environment. Based in our Aventura office, you’ll be directly responsible for ensuring that new hires quickly adapt to our culture, sales processes, and performance expectations, exceeding their quotas in under 90 days. Additionally, you’ll focus on achieving a high retention rate for those who exceed targets and stay beyond their probationary period. In this role, you’ll need to be results-driven, quick-thinking, and adaptable to the demands of a growing company. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales and HR teams, using data-driven insights to refine training programs and maximize both performance and retention.



Responsibilities



  • Fast-Track Onboarding & Training: Develop and execute high-impact, fast-paced onboarding programs to ensure new hires are fully prepared to exceed sales quotas within 90 days. Deliver engaging, results-focused training sessions that quickly equip Sales Representatives with the tools and skills needed to succeed. Provide continuous coaching and mentorship to help new hires adjust to the high demands of our sales environment.
  • Sales Performance Coaching: Monitor and coach Sales Representatives throughout their first 90 days to ensure they meet and exceed sales targets. Address performance issues quickly, providing additional training or support as needed to ensure reps stay on track. Foster a performance-driven culture that motivates new hires to consistently exceed expectations.
  • Retention Rate Optimization: Focus on driving the retention of Sales Representatives after the 90-day probationary period, particularly those who consistently exceed their sales targets. Work with Sales leadership and HR to address any issues that could affect retention and ensure continued success beyond the initial training period.
  • Collaboration & Data-Driven Decisions: Collaborate closely with Sales, HR, and senior leadership to ensure alignment on training objectives, sales goals, and retention strategies. Analyze sales data and performance metrics to continuously refine and improve training approaches. Provide regular performance reports and updates on new hire success, retention rates, and sales performance.
  • Performance-Based Bonuses: Earn performance-based bonuses based on the retention and sales performance of the Sales Representatives you onboard and train. Bonuses will be linked to your ability to maintain a high retention rate and ensure that new hires exceed their sales targets beyond the 90-day mark.



Qualifications



  • Experience: Proven experience in sales training, corporate training, or sales management, ideally in a high-growth or fast-paced environment. A track record of successfully onboarding and coaching Sales Representatives to meet aggressive sales targets. Experience in performance coaching and retention strategies in a sales environment.
  • Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging new hires and keeping them motivated in a fast-paced environment. Excellent coaching and mentoring abilities, with a focus on achieving high sales performance. Ability to quickly assess performance issues and adapt training strategies as necessary to drive results. Strong analytical skills to assess training effectiveness and adjust approaches accordingly.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
  • Other Requirements: Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced office environment. Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Note that this position is based in Aventura, FL. Only candidates within a commutable distance will be considered at this time.
  • A background in Sales, Sales training or managing is highly preferred.
