**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform standard testing to evaluate the efficacy of a cathodic protection (CP) system.
+ Perform basic adjustments and repairs on CP systems.
+ Perform pipeline survey methods (CIS, ACVG, DCVG, ACCA, etc.).
+ Gather data in support of CP and AC mitigation design.
+ Test and troubleshoot CP rectifiers.
+ Compile data in an organized manner for submission to Engineering.
+ Adhere to client and MATCOR safety requirements.
+ Maintain client relationships, with the goal of meeting all customer expectations.
+ Ability to work alone or in a team setting with minimal supervision.
**Qualifications:**
+ AMPP CP 1 certification.
+ Preferred 1 year of experience
+ Clean driving record
+ Employee who have completed six (6) months of continuous employment with the company are eligible for the reimbursement of costs associated with approved certification programs, contingent upon successful completion and submission of appropriate documentations - CP2 certification
+ Travel: 75%
+ Must be able to travel and stay near job sites for 3 weeks
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Frequent standing and walking required throughout the day.

Incumbent uses various substances and tools to install, inspect, repair, maintain, adjust and control corrosion on impressed current and sacrificial anode cathodic protection systems at an advanced level.

Job Summary

Basic Qualifications

The candidate is required to maintain and service the F/A-18 Corrosion Control work center as required and in accordance with applicable publications and governing instructions. + Must complete CDI qualification syllabus and all qualifications to obtain CDI with 90 days of employment.
+ Obtain any additional qualifications or license required to maintain aircraft and qualifications.
+ Must be physically able to perform all assigned duties and able to lift 50lbs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a CPAC Service Technician:

  • Follow applicable safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Operate Corrosion Prevention Compound (CPC) application equipment, which includes compressors, application guns, grinders, vacuums, etc.
  • Apply CPCs on various types of military and support equipment as directed.
  • Accurately identify Marine Corps Corrosion Category Codes 1-5, the 4 stages of corrosion, and the correlation between category codes and stages of corrosion.
  • Perform equipment corrosion assessments using a paper copy of the Marine Corps CPAC Program Corrosion Assessment Checklist (CAC).
  • Perform equipment corrosion assessments using an electronic version of the CAC.
  • Perform surface preparation and touch-up procedures on military and support equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance of CPAC equipment.
  • Travel as required to perform the duties of the position.

Requirements

  • Hold or be capable of passing a background check to receive identification credentials through the Defense Biometric Identification System.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • During short-durations, CST technicians are required to lift to 50 pounds safely.
  • During moderate-durations, CST technicians are required to mount and dismount military and support equipment of varying heights safely.
  • During long-durations, CST technicians are required to work in outdoor weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc.).
  • During long-durations, CST technicians are required to wear and use company provided personal protective equipment (PPE), which includes but is not limited to: safety goggles, hand protection, and respirator equipment, etc.

Note: On a given day, CST technicians are required to wear either a dust mask or fitted respirator (depending upon the task performed) to apply Corrosion Preventive Compounds (CPCs) and/or Surface Preparation and Touch-Up Paint. The employer will ensure service technicians undergo an annual OSHA 1910.134 App A Quantitative Respirator Fit Test.

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, and/or a vocational degree.
  • At least two years of related experience (military or commercial) is preferred.
  • Prior military experience is a preferred but not required.

Within 60-days of hire, CST technicians are required to successfully complete CPAC certification. CST technicians must complete the Defense Acquisition University, Continuous Learning Module; Corrosion Prevention and Control Overview (CLM 038). Completion of this online course is required within one year of employment and before recertification.

**SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:**
+ Execute general maintenance tasks associated with passenger boarding bridges and associated equipment.

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**
While performing the duties of a Corrosion Control Technician, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and work in small spaces. Ladder work required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in outside weather conditions on an airport ramp around aircrafts and the confined areas of baggage conveyor systems. Specific vision abilities required by this job include good close proximity vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Good hand / eye coordination is required.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT:**
The work environment is similar to airport operation with vehicular traffic. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, cold, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees will work on an airport ramp around aircrafts and around heavy equipment.

Industrial Coating Technician

A manufacturing company is seeking an Industrial Coating Technician to prepare steel surfaces and parts for plastisol coating, coat surfaces, and prepare steel surfaces for painting and supply paint. This is a first shift opportunity working 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Job Duties:

  1. Review and analyze orders, inspect sandblasted steel structures for dents or areas that need additional prep, and repair or prep accordingly
  2. Apply primer to prepared parts and structure
  3. Operate a forklift to hold steel structure, apply plastisol, and adhere to structure using an industrial oven to bake coating
  4. Ensure complete, seamless, and even plastisol coating of all steel structures and parts
  5. Grind steel surfaces to prepare surface for paint
  6. Mix paint and hardeners and apply paint utilizing a paint spray gun
  7. Observe health safety by wearing protective mask and breathing apparatus
  8. Maintain inventory levels and follow all safety rules and regulations
  9. Perform routine machine, equipment, and facility maintenance
  10. Document time and material for parts and equipment
