This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach location.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain accurate costs for aerospace parts and systems.
• Perform cost analysis for manufacturing projects, including labor, material, and overhead.
• Support pricing decisions, proposals, and contract bids by providing detailed cost estimates.
• Monitor and analyze cost variances and report findings to management and program teams.
• Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations including FAR , DFARS , and CAS .

Job Summary:

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing manufacturing costs, monitoring operational variances, and ensuring accurate inventory valuation across raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. This role prepares detailed cost reports, reconciles standard versus actual costs, and supports month-end and year-end close activities related to inventory and cost of goods sold. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing costs and operational variances, including materials, labor, and overheads.
• Support the location's General Manager with all aspects of manufacturing process cost analysis.
• Monitor and reconcile variances between standard and actual costs; investigate and explain discrepancies.
• Perform month-end and year-end close activities related to inventory and cost of goods sold.
• Review and update bills of materials (BOM) and routings in the ERP system.
• Support inventory valuation processes to ensure accurate reporting of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
