CoStar is seeking a Chief Residential Economist to support our growing Homes.com division. Homes.com is reimagining the home search experience for consumers and agents alike. The Chief Economist is responsible for developing and implementing data-driven housing market commentary relevant to consumers to promote the Homes.com brand and site authority. The Chief Economist will deliver interesting and compelling housing market insights to consumers through written commentary and media interviews. The ideal candidate possesses extensive housing market expertise, strong communication skills, and a proven record of engaging effectively with the media.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Promote the Homes.com brand and site authority
+ Track and analyze housing market data. Serve as CoStar's subject matter expert on all housing themes, trends, and topics
+ Produce interesting analyses of housing market conditions relevant to consumers for the Homes.com platform. Use Homes.com's vast residential data and economic and demographic data from various sources to create content
+ Communicate housing market insights to consumers through media interviews and TV appearances
+ Compose regular news articles highlighting housing market trends for the CoStar product

**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Advanced degree in economics, urban planning, real estate, or related field

**Role Description**
As a **CoStar Group Sales University (CGSU) Sales Trainer,** you will help build out our world class sales team. Based in Richmond, VA, this role is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of ongoing learning for our sales force across CoStar Group brands. In addition, you will help to analyze the training and development needs of the sales organization and work collaboratively with the full Sales Team to develop & deliver high impact programs that increase sales and sales effectiveness.
This position is in office Monday through Friday.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Design, develop, and deliver sales training and coaching, including instructor-led in-person and virtual training, e-learning, and a variety of other instructional techniques with a focus on developing sales and sales leadership skills across all CoStar brands.
+ Work well within the team and across the organization to define learning solutions that address business priorities and bridge gaps in knowledge, competency and skills for salespeople in a variety of roles and with varied levels of experience.
+ Participate in the design of curriculum (classroom, coaching and continuing education) and performance support tools that build the product mastery required to improve performance in sales for new and existing sales team members.
+ Work with CGSU team members to manage projects, timelines and commitments as well as communication and deployment plans.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about providing a superior standard of service to our Sales teams by assisting them in developing and identifying qualified leads that can be converted into new accounts and additional sales of Cambria designs. In addition, that superior standard of service spans across to all Cambria vender relationships and the important business partners who represent Cambria. The role is responsible for lead generation, lead management, qualification and development of opportunities through to final sale.
This position reports to Vice President, Nerve Center and partners with our Sales teams and the partners who represent Cambria in their own businesses.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Mastering Market Research Tools and Techniques
- Focus: Utilizing platforms like ConstructConnect, Material Bank, Hilton Direct, and Demandbase to gather and analyze market data.
- Action: Learning to effectively navigate these systems, extract relevant information, and translate data into actionable insights, leads and project opportunities.
- Analyzing Sales Pipelines and Improving Close-Won Ratios
- Focus: Understanding sales pipeline metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and developing strategies to enhance conversion rates.
- Action: Practicing data analysis, identifying trends, and proposing data-driven solutions to improve sales performance.
- Enhancing Lead-to-Appointment Conversion
- Focus: Developing and implementing strategies to optimize lead conversion across residential and commercial sectors.
- Action: Exploring different lead nurturing techniques, crafting compelling communication, and tracking conversion metrics.
- Identifying and Addressing Business Process Gaps
- Focus: Learning to identify and map out gaps in business processes, and create plans to close them.
- Action: Practicing process mapping, gap analysis, and solution development.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to represent Cambria Sales strategy and identify opportunities to grow Cambria's lead to sales pipeline in all market segments
- Experience with relationship building and customer-focused talk tracks and activities
- Proficient sales, follow up skills and high level of independent motivation
- Ability to problem solve and manage through conflict
- Attention to detail and ability to adapt quickly and multitask
- Strong team player, proven self-starter and organization skills
- Ability to work flexible hours to include 7am-7pm M-F
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Associates degree, Bachelor's degree preferred or commensurate experience
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in a direct to consumer and or business to business sales focused role. Preferred experience in building industry, understanding of selling features and benefits.
Systems: Proficient in Google suite, Salesforce and Slack

Physical Requirements: Office position requiring telephone and computer use. May be required to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
Travel Requirements: Minimal travel regionally
Cambria's starting salary range for this position is $55,000 - $76,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hires for the position. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
