Job Type: Part Time (5 hours a week to start and then eventually 8-12 hours a week)

Our experienced agency will train and certify a qualified candidate to work in this specialized field to provide risk-reducing treatment interventions with court-ordered clients.
Education & Licensing Requirements:
- Master's or Doctoral level degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or a closely related field.
- Must have a valid Psychologist license- AMFT, LMFT, LCSW, LSW, etc.
- Understanding of risk management & mitigation principles
- CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing experience
- Clinical outpatient treatment experience and substantial focus on group facilitation
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience providing Sex Offender Treatment, DV or Substance Abuse Treatment
- Bilingual Spanish speakers preferred but will consider all qualified candidates
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- You will be working with Adults and Youth.
- Conduct ongoing assessment, individualized treatment planning, group/individual therapy for persons convicted of sex offenses.
- Complete required assessments on clients assigned to caseload, including but not limited to actuarial and dynamic risk assessment, sexual interests, personality measures, cognitive and achievement tests.
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date web-based treatment files and clinical documentation.
- Work in an independent setting with strong organizational skills and rigorous attention to detail.
- Attend clinical trainings (CE's provided) and containment meetings/supervisory meetings as required.
- Work closely and maintain a good working relationship with Probation and Parole.
- Adhere to professional and confidentiality requirements in handling client records.
- Obtain and maintain current Treatment Provider Certification through California Sex Offender Management Board (CASOMB) – CPC will provide training for certification.

The Mental Health Therapist (MHT) is a part of the Primary Care team and assists medical providers with supporting patient wellbeing. The MHT will provide professional biopsychosocial assessments, brief solution-focused behavioral health interventions, and referral services to adults and children affected by emotional, mental, and/or substance abuse difficulties, or other behaviorally impacted medical conditions. The treatment approach will take place in a collaborative setting of medical providers, psychiatrists, case managers, drug and alcohol counselors, as well as other support staff. The MHT will also collaborate with the Director of Integrated Behavioral Health in progressing the development and implementation of the Integrated Behavioral Health Program within a medical setting.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage patients, and their families as needed, in behavioral management services addressing emotional, mental, and behavioral difficulties, including substance abuse
- Complete assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and coordinate wrap around services to promote optimal emotional and mental health
- Receive warm-handoffs from medical providers and perform crisis interventions if needed
- Facilitate group counseling as needed
- Maintain confidential, accurate and timely electronic health records on patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress, discharge plans, and recommendations
- Collaborate with medical providers, psychiatrists, drug and alcohol counselors, case managers, and other support staff to provide whole person care
- Interpret and explain to patients, staff, relatives, and community groups the social and emotional understanding of the factors pertaining to mental health disorders in order to provide a better understanding of the social aspects of environmental, emotional, and physical problems
- Learn about new developments in their field by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, and establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies
- Support program manager in the development and implementation of short and long-term goals and objectives of the program
- Attend team meetings to both lead discussions where appropriate and also discuss assigned individual patient caseload

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of principles, procedures, techniques, trends, and literature of psychiatric and psychotherapeutic work.
- Knowledge of the biopsychosocial model of mental health and addiction.
- Knowledge of scope and activities of public and private health and welfare agencies.
- Ability to independently apply the principles of psychotherapeutic work.
- Ability to establish and maintain the confidence and cooperation of persons contacted in the course of work.
- Secure accurate psychosocial data, record such data systematically, write clear, accurate, and concise reports, and interpret statistical data.
- Maintain an objective and empathetic understanding of the mentally and emotionally disturbed or mental deficient, be tolerant, use tact, and maintain emotional stability.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Current LMFT or LCSW upon hire and maintain current.
- Current licensure or registration by BBS as a LMFT or LCSW in California.
- Passed the California Law and Ethics Exam.

- Consistent Pay: Get paid semi-monthly, with an annual salary ranging between $9,500 and 125,000.

- Balanced Caseloads and Tailored Schedules: Work a 45-hour week (including a daily lunch break), with an average caseload of 25 attended sessions (a mix of ongoing therapy and consult sessions) and support for cancellations and documentation time. About the Role
- Deliver remote, evidence-based therapy to adult clients (18+), practicing modalities like CBT, DBT, ACT, MBCT, TLDP, IPT, EFT, and MI
- Maintain a caseload of ~25 attended ongoing therapy and consult sessions per week (schedule approx. 29 to account for cancellations)
- Facilitate client consult appointments as needed
- Maintain progress notes and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations
- Use data to drive effective treatment and adjust your approach based on client progress
- Participate in weekly case consultation, monthly wellness groups and professional development
- Collaborate with other mental health providers as needed and refer clients when appropriate

Requirements
- Licensed in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD)
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience with adults (18+)
- At least six months of teletherapy experience
- Available for session hours from 8am to 9pm PST, Monday through Friday
- Proficient with clinical assessments (e.g., PHQ-9) for tracking client progress
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Must be licensed and in good standing with your governing licensing board
Compensation The salary range for this full-time, exempt role is between 59,500 and 113,735 based on place of residence, years of licensure, and level (Clinician, Clinician II) as assessed during interviews. Your total compensation also includes quarterly incentive opportunities, giving you the chance to grow your earnings while making an impact.
Additional earning opportunities in support of higher caseloads are available.
