POSITION DESCRIPTION:

EnFin's Risk Analyst is responsible for the analysis, structuring, and administration of the various risk management of the installer onboarding and continuous monitoring of EnFin counterparty/installer risk. This position reports to the Senior Director of Counterparty Risk Management or any other senior personnel the President of the Company may designate.

This position will be based out of one of our offices in Irvine, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Teaneck, NJ, with a potential in-office schedule set at the direct manager's discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures. Remote work may be considered for exceptional cases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform due diligence and underwriting of clients and counterparties, primarily solar and electrical contractors and equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Recommend internal disbursement schedules and risk-based limits, partner payment terms, and prepare written analysis substantiating assessment.
  • Conduct continuous monitoring of trading counterparties, along with regular pipeline and portfolio reviews, partner credit reporting and trade account diligence.
  • Evaluate, monitor, and proactively report on partner operational performance KPI's
  • Collaborate with business partners (onboarding, operations, legal, etc.) and business development teams to resolve complex client risks/challenges.
  • Maintain Risk SLAs for partner onboarding to decrease time from partner application to approval.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of solar installation operations experience in risk management; minimum 1-3 years of hands-on counterparty risk management experience.
  • Experience with the solar industry at the finance level and/or understanding of contractors' cash flow and pipeline management.
  • Prior experience covering the finance side of the solar industry is highly preferred.
  • Interest in and high-level understanding of contractor risk, solar industry, and complementary business verticals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills, including proficiency in interacting with all levels of the company and with outside vendors.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully working on multiple projects and activities at one time; must possess ability to work effectively under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and complete assignments with little oversight.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and Excel skills; experience working with SFDC and data visualization tools (Tableau), Experian, or LexisNexis.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization; enjoy operating in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Serves as an escalation point in interactions with stakeholders across Front Office and Quantitative Model teams including development of teams and technology on various market data-related topics for clearing and stress test:
Works with model development and validation groups in ensuring the accuracy and reasonableness of the stress test and other model assumptions. 3. Ensure necessary reviews and deliverables are properly prepared and submitted in accordance with approval policy and procedures. Provide ongoing teammate coaching and ensure an effective teammate cross-training program is in place in preparation for times of heightened work volumes.
4. Serve as an escalation point for approval and monitoring processes, particularly when client characteristics or performance does not meet approval guideline requirements. Provide direction for due diligence and documentation required. Provide exception approval as allowed by the approval policy. Demonstrate and apply intense risk management practices and provide timely decisions on actions needed.

U.S. Bank is seeking a Quantitative Analyst to provide oversight over clearing risk management and stress testing for derivatives counterparties and & secured financing transactions counterparties. The counterparty risk management function is responsible for the management and control of counterparty risk at US Bank. The group provides independent review of counterparty risk across the business, producing detailed analysis of the derivative portfolio for internal and external constituents and manage the control framework under which counterparty risk is governed.
The person will be responsible for conducting regular stress testing using 30+ scenarios. Ad hoc stress scenarios will also be run on emerging risk factors. Market risk factors such as, rates, fx, commodities, credit and equity are consideration for stress test framework so is probability of default of the counterparties. The person will opine on quantitative market data methodologies (standardization, proxies, data cleaning, and operational processes). This includes how to measure the quality of data for use in pricing models for Counterparty Models. Employ analytical and quantitative approaches to analyze and process data required for the new model.
Serves as an escalation point in interactions with stakeholders across Front Office and Quantitative Model teams including development of teams and technology on various market data-related topics for clearing and stress test:
Works with model development and validation groups in ensuring the accuracy and reasonableness of the stress test and other model assumptions. Partners with them in ensuring on smooth maintenance of ongoing monitoring of models. Review all counterparty related model documentation and sign-off on key assumptions.
