Job Description
The Court Runner at ABC Legal Services performs daily, in-person delivery and collection of legal documents to the courts across the region. Documents received from the court are scanned into ABC system software, case information is entered into ABC's database before being automatically electronically dispatched.
Please Note: This role involves extensive daily driving, often 2 or more hours per day as you will be traveling between multiple court locations. If you enjoy being on the road and are comfortable spending a significant portion of your day driving, this could be a great fit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick up documents from the court
- Deliver documents to ABC Legal office location
- Scan document into the ABC Legal document tracking system
- Enter relevant case information into ABC Database
- Must be in Atlanta, Georgia area or willing to commute
- Minimum 6 months of related experience preferred
- Must be comfortable with multiple hours of driving between court locations, including often congested traffic conditions
- Familiarity with computer operating systems and PDF formatting
- Ability to learn new computer programs/software
