Position Summary:

Responible for managing and directing the workflow of the department staff. Implements credit policy, monitoring and evaluating all applicable credit functions. WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Credit Manager is responsible for managing credit operations within a specific industry or region. This role involves overseeing credit analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and risk management practices. Activities will include credit adjudication with delegated credit authorities. The Credit Manager will manage colleagues' performance and will be responsible for developing a bench of talent at all levels. The Credit Manager is expected to have knowledge of the portfolio managed by each colleague to ensure balanced workload and an understanding of to whom new clients/credits should be assigned. * Minimum 10 years of progressively increasing credit underwriting and portfolio management experience in relevant industry/industries

**Summary**
Our team, based out of the Corporate Office in Salisbury, MD is looking for an experienced Credit Manager to join the team. This position is primarily focused on the management of credit and collection efforts associated with approximately 400 domestic accounts and 130 International accounts. This role is responsible for all aspects of credit risk management while working closely with all levels of management and interacting with customers.
This is an onsite role at our Salisbury, MD Corporate Offices. Relocation is available for qualified candidates.
The salary range for this position is $84,000.00 - $126,000.00 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

**Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Evaluates and delivers credit assessments aligned with Corporate financial objectives.
+ Establishes new account credit terms and limits based on appropriate review of references; including credit reports, performing financial analysis of customer financial statements and reviewing letters of credit.
+ Manages collection efforts to ensure adherence to terms, minimize past due balances and avoid material bad debts.
+ Works professionally with customers and sales personnel, as needed, to coordinate timely payments and resolve disputes.
+ Provides counsel to the business and credit team members on high-risk and large customers, offering creative alternatives or financial consulting to enhance sales and minimize risk of loss.
+ Manages Credit Department staff to support the business.
**Minimum Education and Experience Requirements**
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 8-10 years of related experience. Our ideal candidate will have/be:
+ Progressive mindset and aptitude in implementing technology and productivity tools such as web portals.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
+ Requires some, but limited travel.

+ Responsible for the analysis of financial information on new and existing customers to maximize sales and to limit the risk of bad debt loss. Review and evaluate credit applications for approval, establishing credit limits and risk categories. Establish credit limits for customers and monitor orders released by staff.
+ If required, approve over credit limit to existing customers after conducting analysis to ensure that company exposure is minimized. Oversee the review and process of customer requests for credit, cash application, aging of accounts and collection procedures. Manage the Credit Hold System, prepare and send reports on a timely basis, monitor input from Sales Team.
+ Review discrepancies and reports to assure prompt resolutions. Approve Sales Tax credits and coordinate management of sales tax exemption documents. Develop collections procedures to reduce days sales outstanding, past due percentages and improve cash flow.
+ Report on regional Cash Projections. Preserve lien and bond rights on all accounts that present risk of loss. Ensure the prompt turnover of accounts receivable and minimizes the days sales outstanding (DSO) as well as bad debt loss. Interfaces with customers and senior management.
+ Establish credit review procedures to conduct credit investigations through contacting credit organizations, banks and other trade references/reports.
+ Prepare Bad Debt Reserve Analysis and accrual recommendation and review with Regional Controller and CFO, US ACM.
+ Approve write off of delinquent debt and monitor the billing process. Manage the credit collections and cash on delivery (COD) processes. Prepare State Sales Tax Audit reports and internal audit reports.
+ Prepare annual budget for cash flow and DSO.
+ Lead process improvement and standardization efforts across the Region.
+ Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety andenvironmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit thesebehaviors.
**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
Education: Bachelors degree
Additional Education Preferred: Masters degree
Field of Study Preferred: Business, Accounting or Finance
Required Work Experience: 7 years related experience
Required Training/Certifications: Association of Credit and Collections Professionals Training/Courses preferred.
Required Technical Skills: Microsoft Office, Google Suite, SAP
