Job Description
The Criminal Justice Clinical will provide assessment, diagnostic services, and clinical oversight in support of the TCOOMMI program, which seeks to integrate justice involved individuals into the community while reducing recidivism. This position will provide comprehensive behavioral health interventions necessary to connect individuals involved in the criminal justice system with needed treatment to promote recovery, independence, and tenure in the community through diversion and treatment alternatives.
This position's duties will include the following:
- Perform continuity of care screening and intake assessment for persons involved in the Criminal Justice system referred to the TCOOMMI program
- Perform diagnostic services in support of program intakes
- Serve as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) for all TCOOMMI and jail diversion clients
- Ability to make referrals to appropriate medical providers
- Ability to develop, coordinate, and manage a complex program of treatment for persons with mental impairments
- In and out of region travel required
- Master's Degree in the social services field
- Licensed as a LPC, LCSW or LMFT in the state of Texas
- Extensive experience diagnosing mental impairments and recommending treatment
- Extensive knowledge of mental health screening and assessment tools
- Ability to clinically supervise QMHP mental health direct service providers

Offenses that are not an absolute bar to employment but may be considered a contraindication will also be considered during the pre-employment process. Tri-County will also complete a driver's license check. JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The coordinator works in collaboration with the Drug Treatment Court (DTC) team and in conjunction with Tuerk House, Inc. to develop and monitor plans of care for an assigned caseload of DTC participants ("clients"). This position coordinates services and clinical care identified as a result of a comprehensive assessment provided by a BHSB-contracted assessor. The coordinator ensures their assigned clients' changing needs are met with appropriate type(s) and intensity of service(s). This includes regular meetings with each client, treatment providers, and members of the DTC team to assess the effectiveness of the care plan, assess the client's adherence to the plan, and revise the plan as needed. This position reviews and checks the quality of treatment providers' ongoing monthly documentation of treatment progress and clients', progress notes from provider, and Agents Care note, as well as participant continuing care plans. The coordinator investigates and troubleshoots complaints from offenders as well as criminal justice stakeholders. This position acts as a liaison between BHSB, criminal justice entities, and service providers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads in the development, implementation, and provision of care coordination services for DTC participants.
- Cultivates positive, pro-active communication with other system partners related to care coordination needs.
- Maintains detailed knowledge of the levels of care in the public behavioral health system, providers qualified to provide each level of care, and intake processes for providers.
- Creates detailed documentation of day-to-day work, including but not limited to treatment placement records, care plans and care plan updates, client progress reports, client discharge plans, correspondence with criminal justice stakeholders and service providers, and other documentation as appropriate.
- Facilitates transportation of clients to appointments as necessary.
- Collaborates with treatment and service providers in designing care plans and treatment plans with clients. Provides technical assistance to treatment and service providers related to the public behavioral health system and DTC policies & processes.
- Supports the DTC in following evidence-based practices related to behavioral health in criminal justice settings.
- Cultivates collaborative, mutually supportive relationships with DTC Peer Recovery Specialists and DTC Case Managers, Probation Agents, Public Defender, State's Attorney, and the DTC Judge.
- Performs other duties as assigned which are consistent with the general responsibilities of the position. Quarterly BHSB Reports.
- Work effectively and collaboratively with others, both internally and externally.

**Your New Role.**
CNN is seeking an enterprising, versatile editor to support CNN's Chief Law Enforcement Analyst John Miller and manage other reporting from the criminal justice team.
The Editor, Criminal Justice Reporting must be a journalist with a deep curiosity and an interest in crime reporting, as well as a record of editing succinct, sharp material from reporters while news is breaking. This person will work hand in hand with CNN's Chief Law Enforcement Analyst to help support and sharply frame reporting in breaking news, as well as helping to shape distinctive pieces and analysis. Additionally, this editor will work closely with all of the reporters who make up CNN's esteemed criminal justice team, helping to frame and elevate their distinctive reporting. Although this position does not require prior TV production experience, the individual must also be interested in learning basic aspects of linear television, including finding and helping to clear video elements for breaking news and investigative stories.
This role will be based in New York and report to the Vice President of News. This editor will work closely with other teams in the National news hub and domestic bureaus, as well as with the Justice team in Washington.
**Your Role Accountabilities.**
+ Coordinate between the multiple platforms where John Miller's work appears, including editing digital text and on-air scripts, and communicating about any new content that is being worked on to both control room producers and digital hubs.
+ Work closely with our newsdesk producers to help find, vet, and clear video and picture elements for John's stories.
+ Pivot quickly from one assignment to another as news demands.
+ Communicate clearly and coordinate smoothly with colleagues across the news organization.
+ Work closely with all members of the criminal justice reporting team both on text and on video elements to help ensure cohesion and elevate the team's unique material.
+ Apply exceptional editorial judgment, fairness and rigor to all job responsibilities.
**Qualifications.**
+ 3 or more years of editorial experience
+ College degree or equivalent industry experience
+ Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills and understanding of storytelling on multiple platforms
+ Can work an afternoon into evening schedule, with the flexibility to work a varied schedule as the news dictates
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced news environment 24 hours/ 365 days a year

The Justice Services Jail Re-Entry Therapist is responsible for the provision of therapeutic interventions for persons referred from justice organizations to Clinica Family Health & Wellness.
Job Summary:
Develop and carry out a consistent plan of treatment, from intake and assessment to closure. Coordinate treatment with legal entities including probation officers. Participate in staffings with internal and external partners to coordinate care.

- Provide a variety of case management services, including managing Social Security payeeships, assisting clients to apply for various types of public assistance and providing supporting documentation, attending multi-agency clinical case consultations, and facilitating referrals to other organizations.
- Participate in internal consultation and supervision with team members and other professionals in the organization.
- Pursue professional growth and development by seeking out learning opportunities and integrating new learning into daily work practice.
- Maintain working knowledge of Evidence Based Practices, current Co-Occurring Disorder treatment recommendations and trends in community mental health, including health care reform.
- Collaborate with clients, other treatment team members, DHHS, doctors, hospitals, medical clinics, housing programs, etc. to provide the best service to the clients.

Justice Services- Jail Re-Entry
- Specialized ongoing caseload comprised of clients currently in custody in Boulder County Jail requiring therapeutic treatment.
- Develop plans of transition for clients to successfully transition back into community from jail/prison while achieving mental wellness.
- Provide mental health and co-occurring disorder consultation to assist with integration of mental health and substance use services within the court system.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners such as: Jail Programs, Probation, Public Defender, District Attorney, law enforcement, monitoring agencies, and other treatment providers to assist clients in their recovery process and to ensure the continuity and quality of care.
- Provide case management services to support connections to resources in coordination with the Jail Re-Entry Peer Support Specialist and Justice Services Case Manager.
- Attend regular staffings with community partners, including as needed meetings in criminal justice settings such as court or jail.
- Facilitate contact with active clients of CFHW who are incarcerated in the Boulder County Jail.
- Provide mental health and co-occurring disorder clinical services, using best practice standards.
- Knowledge of motivational interviewing, stages of change theory, stage-wise treatment strategies to intervene and motivate clients.
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their side effects and contraindications with drugs of abuse and report any relevant observations to medical personnel.
- Coordinate Medication Assisted Treatment with medical providers as needed for clients to support recovery goals.
What we need for this job:
- Masters in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field and an internship and prior experience in a clinical setting
- Must be license eligible and actively working toward licensure of Licensed PhD or PsyD, Licensed Clinical Social worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage/Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Training in CBT, DBT, MI, EBP, and Solution-Focused Therapy, preferred
- Some positions may be required to have current CO Driver’s License, a safe driving record.
- Ability to travel within Boulder and Broomfield counties to deliver services in the community.
