About the job:
The APRN - NP Specialty provides acute healthcare services for specialty health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.
This position will practice in the ICU rotating between our three main campuses.
They will work a night shift / rotating schedule, 12 hour days.
What you need:
+ Education: Masters required in Science, Nursing or Specialty field. Graduate of an Advanced Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program.

There are 3 ICUs within this building (MICU, SICU, NCCU). Our Rapid response team responds to all areas within the James Cancer Hospital inclusive of outpatient clinics.
Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Adolescents
Equipment Used on Unit: Alaris IV pumps, Intraosseous IV placement, Narcan spray
Unit Details: 50% of time RN will be assigned to Critical Care float pool taking a patient assignment in our 24 bed MICU unit, 6 bed SICU unit or 8 bed NCCU unit.
Also potential to float to PCU and MS areas.
50% of time RN will be assigned to our Rapid Response team - responsibilities while in that role include proactive rounding in the inpatient tower. responding to any emergency event including code blue, ERT, and/or Med assist.
Others: Will accept a 13-16 week assignment
Special Requirements: Manager preference is to end 1/10, 1/17, 1/24 to assist with holiday coverage.
RTO required with submission, must be built into contract
Previous Employment Requirement: Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location
7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 01/01/2025, 11/27/2025, 12/25/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
