A company headquartered in Denver is looking for a REMOTE Critical Infrastructure Engineer to support an expanding data center team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center facilities and be comfortable with electrical and HVAC fundaments and mathematical calculations. (You do not need to be a PE for this role). This role supports the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects from vendor coordination and installation planning to close-out documentation. You will need to be able to guide vendors on what to install, review the bill of materials from the vendors and make sure it's up to snuff. This engineer will provide engineering oversight and project management support for data center expansion projects across the upper midwest (Montana, Idaho, North Dakota and South Dakota) and a few East Coast states. Standard hours will be 8-4pm MST.

Job Description:
The Senior Assessor performs research, analysis, and testing of Core Infrastructure identified AITs leveraging industry standard baselines to identify potential ransomware and malware vulnerabilities that could be exploited by a threat actor. Ideal candidates will possess both a broad information security background and strong communications and interpersonal skills to engage with a variety of constituents. The associate may routinely work with technical (infrastructure) teams and SMEs on a variety of platform, database and operating systems. The candidate should have strong technical writing skills to produce understandable and actionable reports on diverse technical security and policy issues. The successful candidate will have a strong infrastructure security assessment background and be familiar with ransomware and malware, as well as current MITRE ATT&CK framework.
Responsibilities
As a Critical Infrastructure Assurance Review (CIAR) - Info Security Exposure Mgmt. Sr Specialist, the individual will be focused on the following areas:
- Performing Critical Infrastructure Assurance Review (CIAR) process design and maturation.
- Testing of Core Infrastructure identified AITs, leveraging industry standard guidance against evolving ransomware and malware tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Partnering with infrastructure teams and SMEs to facilitate the collection of evidence.
- Exercising independent judgment in evaluation criteria to obtain results.
- Performing QA and determining levels of compliance.
- Submitting observations for remediation tracking.
- Tracking and reporting of assessment status to leadership team.
- Iterating on the assessment and continually improving its in-scope questions and controls.
Required Skills:
- Experience in Information Security and/or IT Audit
- Technical writing and verbal communication skill
- Ability to effectively work with partners at varying knowledge and organization levels.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technology/development and business partners - ability to translate between these two constituencies.

Bloomberg's Global Infrastructure, Data Center & Workplace Sustainability teams manage the performance of our buildings and services in more than 160 locations worldwide including our mission critical datacenters. We support day-to-day maintenance and operations, capital improvements and new data center construction projects. Our group works closely with the Global Real Estate (GRE) and Engineering teams to maintain and deliver state of the art data centers to meet organizational needs. We also work closely with Global Sustainability Office (GSO) and other internal partners to operationalize Bloomberg's ESG strategy and deliver against enterprise-wide sustainability commitments.
The Program Manager will lead and coordinate special projects and strategic initiatives within the Critical Infrastructure department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless execution of cross-functional programs that support department capital projects, operations, sustainability initiatives, and administrative tasks within our global infrastructure portfolio. The ideal candidate will also provide high-level administrative and operational support to critical infrastructure leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with internal governance standards. We are seeking a technical Project Manager to manage the delivery of mission critical construction projects within the Bloomberg Portfolio. The Data Center Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of data center facilities and mission critical projects within the Bloomberg portfolio. This includes managing critical infrastructure systems, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring financial governance throughout all project phases. Experience with Construction Management, Real Estate Development, Critical Electrical, Mechanical and Fire / Life Safety systems, project planning and scheduling is priority. The role demands a highly organized and technically proficient leader with a proven track record in managing complex projects in both live mission critical facilities and ground-up construction.
We'll Trust You To:
Project Management
- Oversee all meetings, ensuring effectiveness, time efficiency, proper documentation, and timely distribution of meeting minutes.
- Facilitate the design process with all vendors and consultants inclusive of internal department stakeholders within project requirements
- Supervise the design, construction and commissioning of all critical systems, including but not limited to diesel generators, UPS systems, electrical switchgear, power distribution equipment, chillers, HVAC equipment, fire detection/suppression and building monitoring systems.
- Coordinate and manage the design, construction and commissioning of administration / office areas, warehouse and storage defined spaces
- Administer communication with all Bloomberg departments including Engineering, Network Operations, Security and other internal departments.
- Maintain and oversee Data Center Facility documentation including Plans, Procedures and Operations Manuals for final turnover.
- Conduct and coordinate Data Center Facilities Training during commissioning process and final turnover.
- Lead and execute the testing and commissioning process to meet the project's requirements and goals.
- Prepare and manage presentations and reports detailing construction and budgetary progress to management.
- Assist in the overall Data Center Strategy and Real Estate site selection initiatives.
Financial
- Prepare budgets, ROMS and schedules for project development.
- Oversee and direct all general contractor / construction manager processes and overall procurement plans.
- Coordinate and manage all sub-contractor buy-outs including levelling and final award.
- Handle and supervise all equipment purchases including direct pre-purchase as well as contractor purchase.
- Manage budgets and financial governance, outlining all aspects of construction and site development.
- Review and approve vendor purchase orders, invoices and cost tracking utilizing industry best practices.
- Drive and implement all change management processes including procedural developments and risk assessments.
You'll Need to Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering or equivalent work experience of ten (10) years.
- Minimum five (5) years experience in Data Center Project Management.
- Financial Project Management and Governance Experience greater than $50 Million.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Word, Excel and Project.
- Experience and knowledge within a data center environment including Utility Systems, UPS Systems, Emergency Generator Systems, Electrical Distribution, Chilled Water Systems, Critical Air Handling / Conditioning Systems, Pre-Action Systems and Fire Alarm / Protection Systems.
- Experience with reading and understanding Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) and Architectural Plans and Specifications.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10%
