What We're Looking For:Iridium is seeking a motivated Software Development Engineer I to join our Team! As a Software Engineer, you will perform tasks related to software development, testing, analysis and maintenance, as well as troubleshootingthe production systems. What You'll Do:- Apply software engineering best practices and processes to the development of software for different projects and services
- Work closely with Vendors to incorporate their products and software into Iridium service solutions
- Assist in the implementation, build, and verification activities and help troubleshoot issues to resolution
- Perform analysis activities to ensure designs meet technical performance targets
- Conduct functional & performance analysis studies, interface definition, and detailed trade studies
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure software has been tested thoroughly
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high quality products are ready to be deployed into production according to the assigned schedule
- Utilize critical thinking skills to support the team in applying new ideas and approaches, such as designing and developing enhancements to existing and new systems
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field OR equivalent relevant experience in lieu of degree
- 0-2 years of related software engineering experience for complex technical projects, preferably direct experience in telecom billing software, CRM or Microsoft Dynamics 365 product
- Proficiency in coding and assisting with coding complex software applications with multiple subsystems and interfaces, preferably in a language such as Java, JavaScript, C, C++, Power Automate flows.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate key messages and ideas clearly and effectively
- Can cultivate meaningful relationships with your manager and members of your team, while being open and responsive to constructive feedback as they guide and mentor you
- The ability to think outside the box to help solve problems, with the humility to ask for help when needed
- Adaptability to a dynamic environment and the readiness to take on any new tasks that are handed to you
- A motivation to achieve outcomes and results
- Capable of handling multiple tasks at once and completing them on time with mostly no errors
- An eagerness to develop professionally, continuously learn, and share knowledge with others
- Programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Power Automate, Python, Shell scripting
- Familiarity with Telecom Billing Systems, CRM and Tool Suite such as Gitlab, Bitbucket, Jira and Confluence

- Be able to work a hybrid schedule, including at least 3 days per week in office.

Compensation overview
The full hiring range for this role is $20.30 - $6.84 hourly. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role.
