**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**

TSS' overall responsibilities include but are not limited to the network and networking infrastructure, desktop and portable device support, database and application development, email and web-based services, data and telecommunications systems, IT security, and IT related policies.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Work closely with campus user constituency groups and stakeholders to identify device and application needs to ensure timely configuration, deployment, and management of instructional classrooms, computing labs, open space, rental space, and general college functional business areas

Conditions of Employment

Physical Work Environment:

In this role, you will design, implement, and deploy reliable software infrastructure and automation to support embedded software development and testing of Kuiper Customer Terminals. You will design and develop the tooling to develop production software for Kuiper Customer Terminals, automate pipeline testing processes, and tools to improve R&D efficiency.
Key job responsibilities
Build and operate the Customer Terminal software development labs
Debugging, diagnosing, and troubleshooting, production software and pipeline issues
Developing Automated Tests: write code to automate testing processes, creating infrastructure frameworks and tools to improve pipeline development and testing efficiency and coverage.
Designing Test Strategies: contribute to the design of test plans, test cases, and test strategies, develop the testing infrastructure ensuring comprehensive testing throughout the software development lifecycle/pipeline
Troubleshooting and Debugging: analyze automated test results, identify issues, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.

As part of our software engineering team, you will design and implement software used to perform pipeline builds, properly test and deploy Kuiper Customer Terminal products. You will work in a collaborative environment with teams in Kuiper Customer terminal hardware and software development. You need to be flexible and responsive to fast changing priorities and issues.
About the team
The Kuiper Customer Terminal Software Team develops and supports the devices that connect Kuiper subscribers to the Kuiper network. We provide software for the Kuiper Customer Terminal platform, applications and underlying Linux system. We work hand in hand with hardware, product, and operations teams to deliver commercial grade services for our Kuiper subscribers.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience
- 3+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, functional, performance, and security testing
- Experience debugging, diagnosing, and troubleshooting complex, production software and pipeline issues
- Experience with the design, set-up and testing of software/firmware integrated into hardware systems (embedded systems)
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment
