Primary duties of a cross functional team member is to support the manufacturing of vacuum envelope mechanical sub-assemblies and final assemblies. Candidate is primarily responsible for inspecting all levels of assemblies. Position requires a familiarity in schematic interpretation and the use of common measuring equipment which includes; optical comparator, drop gage, calipers, microscope and measuring scope. Secondary responsibilities include building the assemblies which require the use of small hand tools, microscopes and other measuring equipment. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality, and maintaining production flow to meet weekly schedule requirements.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, the candidate should have or be familiar with the following skills:
- A self-starter with the ability to work in a team environment
- Experience with small parts, small hand tools, and microscopes
- Prior blue print and procedures reading experience
- Attentiveness to details with a strong desire for precision and accuracy when executing job duties
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from management and engineering staff.
- Ability to pick up 5 to 20 lbs.
Additional skills include:
- Tig welding and brazing experience

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Cross Dock Worker to assist staff in the collection and distribution of live lobsters at our cross docks in Rockland, Maine.
A typical day at the Cross Dock may include:
- Communicating daily withe the Procurement Team about daily plans, issues, challenges or concerns
- Coordinating with others so lobsters are picked up efficiently and always with quality in mind
- Maintaining the cross dock's daily needs to operate, including handling crates, pallets, ice, etc.
- Maintaining our suppliers daily needs to operate
- Drive truck to pick up lobsters and bring back to the cross dock
- Load trucks and trailers in an organized manner so destination can easily identify different lots (must be able to lift 20+ pounds)
- Operate forklift to load or unload trucks and trailers
- Generate documentation for all transactions and maintain organized records (bills of lading, load sheets, crate slips, etc.)
- Scan all documents and send to Procurement Manager nightly
- Monitor mid-coast trucks and other equipment used daily so all is in good working order
- Respond pro-actively to needed repairs and maintenance of trucks and other equipment
- Typical schedule would be from noon until 8pm-9pm depending on work levels. Additional hours as needed.
