The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer | Blockchain at Daylight, you'll play a crucial role in developing our Django APIs and backend services that support our mobile app and partner integrations as well as designing the interactions with our smart contracts onchain. You'll build functionality that helps homeowners monitor, control, and optimize their energy usage while participating in our decentralized energy network.
We're an early-stage startup, so this role goes beyond just writing code. You'll have significant input on architecture decisions, user experience, and product direction. As we scale, there will be opportunities to grow into a leadership or management position, mentoring junior developers and shaping our backend development strategy and onchain integrations.

Responsibilities
- GraphQL & REST API Development
- Design and build robust GraphQL queries and mutations that power our mobile app and are tailored for mobile performance

We are seeking an experienced Blockchain Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Blockchain and Ethereum, including experience in Go, C# and other OOP languages. As a Blockchain Engineer, you will primarily work on blockchain-related projects, Designing and implement Smart Contracts using Solidity.Additionally you may also be tasked to work on back-end micro services using Go, .Net and SQL as needed.
Required Skills
• Strong proficiency in blockchain tech and the Go programming language.
• Proficiency in building smart contracts with Solidity is a plus.
• Experience with blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Hyperledger.
• Familiarity with cryptography and encryption.
• Experience with database management using SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Skills :
• Experience with Bash, .Net, Node.js, Python and Ansible.
• Experience with MongoDB and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience building IoT, peer to peer and/or decentralized platforms.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
