Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located at our Day Academy in Highland,NY, this position is responsible for providing leadership to teachers and other staff in the areas of curriculum development and behavior. In conjunction with the administration, they will coordinate and conduct training sessions for all classroom staff, as well as conduct observations to evaluate the effectiveness of training and program implementation. The Curriculum Coordinator will also provide direct instruction to students to assist teachers in developing instructional programs, when it appears a student is not making adequate progress. In the absence of a teacher, the Curriculum Coordinator will take over duties for the assigned classroom until a permanent teacher is in place. They will administer and manage online database systems, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, ensurethat all reports and documentation is presented on time for annual reviews, and audit all IEPs for completeness and correctness pre- and post- CSE.
**Salary:** $74,752 - $79,984 annually

**Qualifications**
**EDUCATION** : Master's Degree in Special Education with active NYS certification
**EXPERIENCE** : At least five years experience supervising and training staff; at least five year's experience with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** : Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, inhalants or other chemical or controlled substances. Significant, prolonged and frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending and lifting of 50 pounds or more. Using standard crisis intervention procedures, must be able to singlehandedly effect the initial restraint of children and adolescents. Possible exposure to blood borne pathogens.

Position Summary
This non-student hourly, 9-month, part-time, approximately 50% FTE hybrid position, without benefits, provides coordination for the Veterinary Communication for Professional Excellence ( VCPE ) Communication Courses. Specific assistance is requested in prepping coursework, hosting trainings and communication laboratories, and course closing tasks.
The position provides administrative assistance to the two faculty members in the VCPE section. Primary duties include organization of course materials, coordination of communication coaches and simulated clients, ordering supplies, event planning for training and laboratory sessions, and setting up, monitoring, and tearing down the course classroom and small group meeting rooms. The work can be entirely in person or at least on Tuesday and Thursday mornings (7:00 am to 1:00 pm) and other training events. Approximately 20 hours/week.
