As an Instructional Design Specialist at Holland America Group, your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around creating engaging and effective learning experiences that support the company's business goals. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to identify the training needs of various target audiences and develop tailored learning solutions. Your role will involve stating instructional end goals and designing content that aligns with these objectives. You'll conduct thorough instructional research and analysis to understand the unique shipboard environment and its constraints, applying tested instructional design theories and methods to create impactful learning materials. Additionally, you'll analyze and select appropriate technologies to deliver instructional content across various methodologies, including instructor-led training, video production, e-learning, and performance support. You'll also develop evaluation instruments to assess learner performance and maintain comprehensive documentation of learning programs. Working closely with the Learning Operations & Program Management team, you'll ensure the successful implementation and sustainability of these programs, contributing to the overall growth and success of Holland America Group.

Skills and Requirements
3 years proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
Lesson and curriculum planning skills
Experience with e-learning course development software (Articulate / Captivate)
Visual design skills
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint) and CBT authoring tools (Articulate/Storyline)
Flexible to changing priorities and willingness to support global 24/7 operation
Articulate story line
Experience with AI
BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar post-secondary degree in Adult Education, Learning & Development, Human Resources, Talent Management, combined with commensurate experienceAR would be a nice to have

1. Analyze, design and develop creative, learner-centered, performance-based training programs to support global AWS Customer Service teams.

The pay range for this position in Bellevue, WA is $112,840 - $129,800 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
