The Weekend Custodial Manager at McCormick Place will lead custodial operations and supervise, train and direct the custodial associates. Reports to and support the General Manager in achieving objectives and client expectations.
**Compensation Data**
COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $71,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

**Job Responsibilities**
+ Coordinates custodial and housekeeping operations
+ Maintains communication with and responds to the requests of department managers and directors, and other client partners
+ Tours and inspects the facility to ensure total quality management requirements in custodial and housekeeping operations
+ Reviews job orders and specifications to understand the material and labor required to complete the project and coordinates the activities of custodial employees to efficiently utilize staff, materials and equipment
+ Maintains compliance with Aramark?s and client?s standards of operation, Aramark?s Business Conduct Policy, and all federal, state and local regulations. Maintains all records and reports as required by regulations and codes
+ Understands departmental expenses such as supply need and labor costs to maintain budget conditions

**Qualifications**
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in custodial management

+ Requires knowledge of machinery related to custodial operations

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred; will consider commensurate work experience.

**POSITION SUMMARY:**

4. *Organizes, assigns and coordinates work; and manages assigned staff, client workers, and contract vendors to perform custodial services.
5. *Schedules and prioritizes tasks, and ensures adherence to procedures, regulations and guidelines while minimizing errors and safety risks.
6. *Oversees rehab counseling, training and assistance for client workers who are adults with developmental disabilities and/or physical challenges. Creates and documents behavioral and vocational objectives, and maintains reports and files associated with counseling.
7. *Conducts and participates in regular staff, leadership, committee, and offsite meetings. Prepares agendas, rosters, and presentation materials for various meetings.
8. *Prepares and submits a variety of reoccurring reports, business correspondence, agendas, presentation materials, and certificates.
9. *Acts as an information source regarding contracts, department services and operations.
10. *Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
-High School Diploma or G.E.D.;
-Three or more years of experience in custodial services and/or building maintenance, including one year of supervisory experience; -Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities and/or physical challenges, preferred;
-Knowledge of Cal OSHA, OSHA occupational safety and environmental regulations;
-Supervisory skills to hire qualified employees, provide for their professional development, administer performance management and disciplinary processes effectively, and address employee relations appropriately;
-Ability to effectively supervise and develop assigned team to meet production/service goals while adhering to safety policies and rules;
-Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to make presentations and respond to inquiries by senior management, customers and/or employees;
-Demonstrated leadership, organizational, reasoning, problem solving and analytical skills;
-Exceptional customer service skills;
-Human relation skills to build effective relationships with team, customers and public;
-Advanced computer literacy including knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software;
-Knowledge of business English including vocabulary, spelling, and correct grammatical usage and punctuation;
-Mathematical skills to include the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations;
-Ability to establish priorities and solve a wide range of business, operational and strategic management problems;

**WORK ENVIRONMENT:**
Work is performed in an office environment or at a customer's location. Employees may be exposed to toxic chemicals, noise from equipment in maintenance environment and depending on indoor or outdoor conditions, exposure to cold and heat. Travel to other worksites is required for some positions. Employees may be required to work in excess of 8 hours in a day and/or 40 hours per week.

The 2nd shift Custodial Manager will lead custodial operations and supervise, train and direct the custodial associates. Reports to and support the General Manager in achieving objectives and client expectations.

**Job Responsibilities**
+ Coordinates custodial and housekeeping operations
+ Maintains communication with and responds to the requests of department managers and directors, and other client partners
+ Tours and inspects the facility to ensure total quality management requirements in custodial and housekeeping operations
+ Reviews job orders and specifications to understand the material and labor required to complete the project and coordinates the activities of custodial employees to efficiently utilize staff, materials and equipment
+ Maintains compliance with Aramark?s and client?s standards of operation, Aramark?s Business Conduct Policy, and all federal, state and local regulations. Maintains all records and reports as required by regulations and codes
+ Understands departmental expenses such as supply need and labor costs to maintain budget conditions

**Qualifications**
+ Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in custodial operations
+ Bilingual is required
+ Must read, write and understand the native language, communicate (both verbal and written) effectively, and apply discretion and comprehensive understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
+ Requires knowledge of machinery related to custodial operations
+ Requires listening, interpersonal, computer and leadership skills
+ Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics and apply elementary math functions
+ Ability to work well under time constraints
+ Must maintain friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients and co-workers
+ Is adaptable to customer needs
