About the role

We’re looking for a UI/UX Designer to craft intuitive, beautiful, and effective experiences across SonicJobs’ products. You will take ownership of the design process from concept to delivery: user research, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity visuals, and design systems. We are seeking a Human-Centered Design (HCD) **UI/UX Designer** to support the Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of the Chief Information Officer (HUD OCIO).
The UI/UX Designer will lead the design and validation of digital experiences that support HUD's AI/ML proofs of concept and pilots. This role will ensure interfaces are intuitive, user-centric, and aligned with project objectives while incorporating AI capabilities to enhance usability and operational efficiency.
This is a hybrid remote position based in Washington, D.C. that will require some onsite work at the customer's location. An estimated 25% annual travel within the U.S. will be required.
**Responsibilities**

+ Experience with design documentation, including wireframes, prototypes, style guides, and design system artifacts.
+ Experience designing AI-driven interfaces (chatbots, predictive analytics dashboards, natural language interfaces) preferred.
+ Experience with Google Analytics, Hotjar, Mixpanel for measuring usability and engagement preferred.
+ Experience building and maintaining enterprise-level design systems across multiple teams preferred.
