A full-service home medical equipment provider is seeking a Clinical Technician to support Respiratory Therapists in the setup and instruction of respiratory equipment at hospitals and assisted living facilities. This is a hands-on role that combines technical setup, patient education, and customer service.
Schedule & Training + Hours:
- MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
- Training: Approximately 1 month of hands-on training with management
Responsibilities:
- Assist Respiratory Department staff in delivering and setting up respiratory equipment (CPAP, BiPAP, oxygen systems, nebulizers, etc.)
- Educate patients and caregivers on equipment usage and maintenance
- Explain financial responsibilities and complete required documentation (delivery tickets, safety checklists, instruction forms)
- Serve as a Customer Service Representative when not on location: Answer inbound/outbound calls and emails, Process orders and referrals, Schedule equipment delivery and setup, Route calls and follow up with patients and providers
On-Call Rotation (Post-Contract):
- Participate in a monthly on-call rotation (13 times/month)
- Remote work during on-call hours with access to a secure, private location and Wi-Fi
- Compensation includes hourly wage for time spent on calls plus a stipend: Weekdays (5pm9pm): $25 stipend, Weekends (9am9pm): $0 stipend
Post Contract:
- Travel: Local travel using a company vehicle; typically within 12 hours of Lansing. Frequency varies based on patient and hospital needs.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare administration, insurance, billing, claims, or customer service
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly

Pay and Benefits:
