Pharmacy Technician

Provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Processes medication orders including computer order entry, medication preparation and assembles all items prior to pharmacist final check.
  • Maintains pharmacy inventory and supplies according to established policies and procedures, including inspection of assigned areas and use of pharmacy computer systems.
  • Provides customer service by taking patient's prescriptions and documenting all required information, handles all customer interactions in a courteous and efficient manner, and releases medications required by policy/procedure.
  • For Outpatient Techs: Validates Medicaid, Medicare, or commercial insurance drug coverage and ensures adjudication is complete addressing any error messages, plus handles cash, prepares deposits and accounting reports.
  • For Inpatient Techs: Compounds, stocks, repackages and batches from bulk medications. Prepares routine patient orders for IV pharmaceuticals including compounding, preparation and labeling of any IV admixture including antibiotics, solutions, irrigations, narcotics, parenteral nutrition and chemotherapy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or ExCPT Pharmacy Technician - National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Incumbents in role as of July 1, 2022 must achieve CPhT by 1/1/2024.
  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or 1 year equivalent experience in lieu of formal training program.

Preferred:

  • 1 year of pharmacy experience in respective area.

Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, performs a wide variety of technical and clinical and/or clerical duties to support the hospital wide unit-dose drug distribution system and intravenous admixture program. May be exposed to or responsible for maintaining confidential reports, entering and retrieving data utilizing the computer system, preparing intravenous medication, filing and delivering routine orders for unit dose and prepackaged pharmaceuticals and providing accurate assistance to the pharmacist in performing daily duties. All orders are checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing.

Distribution/Processing: Delivers routine, stat and floor-stock medications including controlled substances. Completes order entry and fills all types of medication orders within scope of practice. Processes charges, credits, admissions, discharges and transfers. Answers phones and relays messages within the department. Under direct supervision of the pharmacist, fills routine patient orders for unit dose carts and prepackaged pharmaceuticals, preparing, compounding and labeling IV admixture. Displays competency in the use of Pharmacy resources, including computer software (i.e., Automated Dispensing Cabinets, packagers, BCMA) and other technology. Performs routine supply and billing functions.

Inventory: Continuously maintains pharmacy inventory and supplies according to established policies and procedures through assigned inspections, use of automated dispensing units and medication supplies depending on facility. Assists in ordering, receiving, unpacking and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies in appropriate locations, restocks medications and prepackages bulk medications in unit dose packages.

IV Prep/Packaging: Compounds, stocks, repackages and batches from bulk medications. Prepares routine patient orders for IV pharmaceuticals.

Work Environment: Contributes to the effective operation of the department through all activities including computer functions, processing cart fill lists, pick lists, refill medications, generation of labels and answering phone appropriately. Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.

Safety and Quality: Participates in continuous performance improvement and regulatory compliance efforts. Takes responsibility for quality improvement efforts and then monitors processes and results. Maintains an attitude that promotes and fosters an environment of safety.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

TrueCommerce is seeking a Add On Associate Client Manager for their Add On Team. The Add On Associate Client Manager is responsible for corresponding with TrueCommerce existing customers who wish to add on additional services. This is a customer-facing role that requires business acumen, organization, documentation, and sales skills. This role will not be quote driven but is 90% reactive and will need to be highly attentive to customers needs. The primary responsibility of the Add On Associate Client Manager is to process customer service inquires for add-on sales and provide a seamless handoff to the Implementation Team.

As a Add On Associate Client Manager, you will:

  • Handles existing customer inquiries related to Add-on sales by executing a sales order for adding on trading partners or additional services.
  • Understands the TrueCommerce solution to assist customer in purchasing the correct product, service, or partner
  • Create quotes and orders and approve orders as necessary
  • Processes customer purchases efficiently and accurately
  • Address basic billing inquiries
  • Manage escalations effectively to enhance customer retention and prevent churn
  • Maintaining a high level of follow-up on opportunities to ensure accurate and timely updates.
  • Identify and assist with process improvements to enhance the customer experience
  • Update NetSuite CRM with detailed notes and activity tracking
  • Manage TrueCommerce web portal inquires and updates
  • Attend service department meetings and educational activities to stay informed on industry trends and company developments.
  • Execute on other assignments as directed.

Requirements for Success:

  • Associate degree is preferred 
  • Previous sales or account management experience is preferred
  • Highly organized individual that can follow processes, and is comfortable taking and making phone calls
  • A genuine desire to build relationships with existing customers; previous customer service experience required.
  • This individual enjoys solution selling and thrives on change
  • Strong closing skills
  • Must be a self-starter and able to take initiative
  • Strong phone skills, exceptional listening skills, and above-average problem-solving skills
  • Be an advocate for the customer both internally and externally
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Must have exhibited proficiency using e-mail and NetSuite (or a similar CRM system).

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience providing Help Desk support, including technologies such as Active Directory, Exchange, and VMware.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems, including Windows 10.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across hardware, networks, and software.
- Familiarity with routers and Citrix systems is preferred.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and technical aptitude.
- Experience with programming or scripting languages is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively multitasking.
