Salary: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team in the tax compliance and planning for ultra-high net worth individuals and families, focusing on clients in financial services.
- Drive client engagement in tax planning and compliance across diverse scenarios, including direct involvement in client interactions and strategy sessions.
- Maintain a deep understanding of hedge fund K-1 treatments, and the intricacies of trusts, estates, gifts, and charitable entities.
- Monitor and manage the preparation and review of complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current laws.
- Engage and establish new client relationships while maintaining excellence in existing relationships.
- Act as a proactive advisor, staying updated on tax legislation and integrating relevant changes into planning and compliance practices.
- Collaborate with other firm departments to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Participate in and lead training and professional development sessions within the team.
- Occasional travel to client sites to enhance client trust and service delivery.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in tax compliance, with specialization in the taxation of individuals, fiduciaries, estates, and gifts.
- Extensive recent experience in public accounting.
- CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent Certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Taxation or a related field.
- Proficiency in GoSystems or CCH Axcess tax software.
