Description
+ Candidate will provide NISTCMMC compliance implementation, management, and tier 3 support for local and remote clients.
+ Candidate will also provide implementation, management, and tier 3 support for local and remote commercial clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Provide remote and in-person technical support, incident, and problem management to end-users on technology issues regarding computer operations and networks including software support and administration, installation, setups, error messages, system status, and downtime procedures, etc.
+ Provide technical context and leadership to the assigned project team.
+ Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud-hosted applications (Office365, Azure, AWS)
+ Troubleshoot and support software applications and business processes, troubleshoot and repair new or existing hardware.

**Overview**
CYBER SECURITY SPECIALIST (WSSA):
Bowhead seeks a Cyber Security Specialsit to join our team at Hill AFB, UT to support the A-10 Weapon System Support, Analysis, Test, and Integration contract. The A-10 WSSATI contract is critical in supporting the A-10C weapon system (and any future Mission Design Series - MDS), and in facilitating the role of the A-10 SPO as a highly successful prime integrator. This will insure that the A-10 fleet remains a viable part of the cohesive, ready, and agile fighting forces that the Air Force, the Combatant Commanders, and our National Defense Strategy require. The Cyber Security Engineer will provide guidance and leadership with the cyber security implementation of different avionics programs and updates.
**Responsibilities**
+ Demonstrate knowledge of current cyber security standards needs to be maintained to provide proper guidance.
+ Collaborate and coordinate with critical infrastructure and network engineering teams to provide technical security requirements.
+ Perform systems/networking troubleshooting, problem resolution, maintaining, upgrading and deploying DCO tools (IDS both Host-based and Network-based and the supporting components, User Activity Monitoring/User Behavioral Activity, ACAS, and SIEM).
+ Work with minimal direction, perform strong verbal and written communication skills, and work alongside senior level officials.

- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field is required.
- Minimum of three (3+) years of experience working with cyber security on military aircraft.

**Job Summary** : This job performs critical information security services in the operation of the City's information security program including vulnerability management, security and event monitoring, threat evaluation, risk management, incident response, and compliance activities. **Job Responsibilities:**
+ Perform compliance activities and audits such as policy reviews, process reviews, and third-party security audits.
+ Monitor, configure, and operate an enterprise class anti-virus/anti-malware system including policy, scanning and remediation activities.
+ Conduct and participate in cybersecurity related investigations and incidents.
+ Evaluate application and IT infrastructure for risk and threat assessment.
+ Evaluate vulnerability and threat information to assess, measure, and prioritize mitigations based on risk.
+ Participate in DevSecOps processes and familiarity with programming practices, threat modeling and testing methodologies.
+ May be expected to participate in a twenty-four by seven (24x7) operational rotation as a member of the network and security operations center staff.
+ Analyze and install manufacturer supplied or internally developed system software and/or hardware to maintain or enhance the City's information technology systems and configurations. **Required Skills:**

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Cybersecurity Specialist to support and enhance our enterprise security operations. This role is vital to maintaining the integrity of our IT and OT environments, ensuring resilience against evolving threats, and working closely with both internal teams and third-party security partners. The ideal candidate will bring 5–10 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, a strong foundation in endpoint and network protection, and practical familiarity with modern managed detection and response (MDR) solutions.

This position reports directly to the Senior Network Engineer with a dotted-line relationship to our vCISO , enabling collaborative oversight across both infrastructure and strategic security planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to security events and incidents in coordination with internal stakeholders and our third-party SOC provider.
• Administer and optimize endpoint protection and response using Cortex EDR .
• Support our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) system and manage relationships with our outsourced SOC partner.
• Maintain secure configurations across firewalls, servers, endpoints, and cloud services.
• Collaborate with the Senior Network Engineer to ensure that networking infrastructure follows cybersecurity best practices.
• Support vCISO-led initiatives in policy implementation, control mapping (e.g., NIST CSF, CIS), and compliance efforts.
• Lead or assist in cybersecurity incident response and root cause analysis.
• Evaluate and enforce best practices for user access control, MFA, and privilege management.
• Assist in phishing simulations, vulnerability remediation, and user awareness programs.
• Stay current on emerging threats, trends, and technologies in the cybersecurity landscape.

Required Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or infrastructure security roles.
• Proficient with:
  • Cortex EDR for endpoint protection and incident response.
  • SIEM and MDR services, including interaction with outsourced SOCs.
  • Security tools such as vulnerability scanners, DLP, firewalls, and identity platforms.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 E5 security features , including Defender for Endpoint, Purview, and conditional access policies.
• Strong working knowledge of network and cloud security principles across Windows, Linux, and Azure environments.
• Solid understanding of security frameworks , including NIST CSF , CIS Controls , and Zero Trust models.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work across departments and manage third-party relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Arctic Wolf , eSentire , or Rapid7 MDR platforms.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, GCIH, or GCIA .
• Exposure to OT/ICS cybersecurity practices in manufacturing or critical infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Purview compliance, Azure AD security, and threat analytics.
• Participation in security audits, tabletop exercises, or vulnerability assessments.

• Assessing and managing cybersecurity risks related to generative AI (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Bard)
• Evaluating AI tools for compliance with data privacy, security, and governance standards
• Collaborating with legal, compliance, and IT stakeholders to mitigate AI-related threats
