Primary Responsibilities

Security Tool Management

• Administer and maintain enterprise security tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, MFA/SSO, email security, firewall monitoring).

• Evaluate new technologies and recommend tools that align with organizational and client needs.

Tool Consolidation & Optimization

• Lead initiatives to consolidate overlapping security solutions to reduce complexity and cost.

• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline tool usage across multiple service lines.

Dashboarding & Security Visibility

• Develop and maintain security dashboards to provide real-time visibility into threat detection, response coverage, and compliance posture.

• Ensure dashboards provide actionable insights for security operations and leadership decision-making.

Security Operations Support

• Work with the SOC team to ensure effective monitoring, detection, and incident response capabilities.
• Support vulnerability management programs through effective tool use and reporting.
• Partner with compliance and risk teams to ensure tools support regulatory and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-5 years of experience in security engineering, security operations, or IT infrastructure with a focus on security tools.
• Hands-on experience with common security technologies such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and cloud security platforms.
• Strong knowledge of tool integration, automation, and reporting in a multi-tenant or MSP environment.
• Experience building dashboards in tools such as Splunk, Power BI, Grafana, Elastic/Kibana, or similar platforms.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Security Engineer to help us build, maintain, and continuously improve the security posture of our rapidly growing ML infrastructure platform. REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience in a Security Engineer or similar security-focused role, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS/GCP), container security, and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
• Hands-on experience with security tooling (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners) and scripting languages to automate security tasks.

At iconectiv, we expect to pay between $79k- $113k for this role. This role is eligible for variable pay (bonus). Job Description
We are seeking Security Engineers to join an on-site team delivering mission-driven government support. You will help design and apply solutions that will monitor and detect security threats.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph with MPO. Must meet eligibility requirements for access to U.S. government systems and facilities. This position will be 100% on-site.

About the Role

As a Security Engineer, you will focus on threat detection, monitoring, and incident response within a Microsoft cloud environment. Leveraging advanced security tools, you will ensure proactive defense, effective analysis, and operational resilience across critical O365 and Azure platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and tune Microsoft Sentinel for log management, correlation, and advanced detection.
• Monitor Azure environments to identify anomalies and performance/security issues.
• Detect, investigate, and analyze potential threats, escalating incidents as required.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain KQL queries for dashboards, reports, and alerts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security posture and incident response.
• Provide on-site support for operational security requirements across O365 and Azure services.

Required Skills

• Microsoft Sentinel: Configuration, tuning, and use for threat detection.
• Azure Monitoring: Performance, availability, and security monitoring in Azure environments.
• Threat Detection & Investigation: Strong analytical skills for investigating and remediating security incidents.
• KQL (Kusto Query Language): Ability to create, customize, and optimize reports, queries, and alerts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience implementing enhanced security features across Azure and O365 environments (e.g., advanced threat protection, conditional access, zero-trust configurations).
• Familiarity with O365 data protection and governance features.

Scope, design and champion Security solutions for projects spanning all of Meta's users, employees, and infrastructure.

Required Skills:

Security Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Lead a combined Security Engineering, Security Analyst, and Software Engineering organization to implement security solutions and platforms shared across Meta.

2. Determine what the highest-risk items in the above domains are across the company, then lead development of detailed threat models and solutions across the space.

3. Navigate tradeoffs between security and friction/cost to ensure the company can continue to move fast in a secure manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. B.S. Computer Science or related field.

2. Significant experience in driving large cross-company engineering+Security initiatives.

3. Experience managing security risk and navigating the tradeoff between security and friction in a large organization.

4. Experience communicating and influencing across functions to drive solutions.

5. Experience operating in high ambiguity environments and balancing technical solution design with complex business processes & requirements.

6. Hands-on engineering experience leading a blended Security Engineering and Software Engineering organization.

$264,000/year to $342,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
