Responsibilities:  

·    Dairy Processing Operators support the Shippensburg plant in the daily production of Cream Cheese and Yogurt to meet customer orders. You'll be responsible for turning raw materials into high-quality dairy products that are packaged on the packaging floor. (This could include receiving milk, running an HTST and other processing equipment, and/or batching flavored product.) 

·    Partner safety and food safety are our top priorities, that’s why you’ll be expected to follow good manufacturing practices and housekeeping guidelines. (This included wearing designated personal protective equipment (such as gloves, hard hats, hair nets, hearing protection, etc.) and adhering to all OSHA safety requirements.) 

Requirements:  

·    Candidates must have a high-school diploma (or equivalent) and the ability to read, understand and follow written procedures. 

·    At least two years of manufacturing experience is preferred. 

·    This job may require you to lift between 30-50 pounds at waist level, operate an electronic pallet jack and a stand-up forklift, and work in hot or cold conditions. 

·    This position requires receiving a passing score on the Wonderlic cognitive exam (required pre-interview) as well as receiving a passing score on a basic mechanical assessment (administered at the time of the interview). 

·    This position requires passing a post-offer background check and drug screen. 

·    Proficiency in reading and comprehension of the English language is required.

About the Role

As an HTST (High-Temperature Short-Time) Operator at our yogurt processing facility, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the HTST pasteurization equipment used in the yogurt production process. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HTST systems, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operation of HTST Equipment: Operate and monitor the HTST pasteurization system to ensure proper heating, holding, and cooling of milk according to established protocols and quality standards.

  • Monitoring and Control: Continuously check and adjust system parameters, including temperature, pressure, and flow rates, to maintain optimal conditions for pasteurization.

Job Description

Summary: Position is responsible to respond to customers, assist other staff, stock/rotate stock

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Dairy Clerk activities:

* Assists customers
* Stocks and rotates product
* Answers calls for price checks
* Faces merchandise in the department
* Cuts open boxes with a box cutter
* Loads carts with stock for the store floor
* Operates baler
* Operates trash compactor

Other activities:

* Climbs ladders/stair tower to reach stock
* Checks doors for security
* Checks floors for cleanliness
* Builds displays
* Orders merchandise
* Operates lift

Minimum Requirements: A positive customer service 2 & pleasant personality, effective memory skills, good hand eye coordination, dependability, ability to follow directions & a strong willingness to learn.

Work environment: Normal exposure to weather and temperature extremes
