Position Summary:
In this role, you will play a vital part in advancing patient care through innovative imaging practices and collaborative research. Responsibilities include interpreting a full spectrum of diagnostic neuroimaging studies and performing basic procedures such as lumbar punctures and myelography.

We are an internationally known Department with a deep history in the field, beginning with acquiring the first clinically x-ray in the United States in 1896. While Dartmouth Health includes many hospitals and clinic sites, this position is based at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, our tertiary care central hub which also serves as the system’s Academic Medical Center. Dartmouth Health provides the full gamut of body imaging services including advanced body MR imaging including prostate MR, hepatobiliary imaging, and specialized oncologic imaging.

Dartmouth Radiology hosts multiple outstanding residencies, including in Diagnostic Radiology and an integrated DR/IR program. The Department is a national leader in the science of teaching radiology to medical students. All faculty participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Dartmouth Health is seeking a fellowship-trained musculoskeletal radiologist to join the MSK imaging division at the level of an Assistant, Associate, or (Full) Professor, depending on the level of experience. All candidates who have an interest in teaching and being in an academic environment, including candidates with little direct personal academic experience, are welcomed to apply. The ideal candidate will have a record of aspiring towards clinical excellence.
The candidate being sought will participate in the delivery of cutting-edge musculoskeletal imaging including MR, CT, ultrasound, and plain film.
Dartmouth Radiology hosts multiple outstanding residencies, including in Diagnostic Radiology and an integrated DR/IR program. The Department is a national leader in the science of teaching radiology to medical students. All faculty participate in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. There is a strong desire to continue to expand our educational offerings.
The Department values patient-centered care and a highly collaborative, respectful, caring, and engaging work environment. There is a strong working relationship with other Departments including orthopedic surgery the section participates in regular multidisciplinary meetings.

We are an internationally-known Department with a deep history in the field, beginning with acquiring the first clinically x-ray in the United States in 1896. Since then, we have continued an upward trajectory growing in breadth and depth and expanding our services across New England.
While Dartmouth Health includes many hospitals and clinic sites, this position is based at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, our tertiary care central hub which also serves as the system’s Academic Medical Center. DHMC is the state’s only Level 1 trauma center, a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, and is home to a fleet of helicopter and ground-based medical transport services.
Dartmouth Health maintains a total of 802 beds, with 458 located at DHMC. Our extensive network handles over 3 million outpatient visits annually, supported by a dedicated team of 15,000 employees and more than 2,300 employed providers. Required Licensure/Certifications
- Diagnostic Radiology Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Fellowship-trained or relevant experience with a keen interest in musculoskeletal imaging
- Must obtain and maintain a medical license in both New Hampshire and Vermont
- The ability to be appointed at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor rank, depending on experience. Experience or interest in having a local and/or national reputation of clinical excellence and teaching skill preferred.

Our practice is located in the beautiful Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont. All full-time radiologists at Dartmouth Health are appointed as an Assistant, Associate, or full Professor at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Faculty have access to the full academic and cultural resources of the health system, Dartmouth College, and the Geisel School of Medicine.
Position Summary
Dartmouth Health is seeking an evening and nighttime radiologist to join our Emergency Radiology imaging division at the level of an Assistant, Associate, or (Full) Professor, depending on the level of experience. Evening and overnight work consists of a standard emergency radiology case mix, comprised mostly of straight forward x-rays, CTs, and Ultrasounds. We have limited overnight, and evening MRs acquired as well. Our evening and overnight coverage is a team model, so candidates with specific strengths or weakness can often be accommodated.
We cover the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, which is a level I Trauma Center and has a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The Emergency radiology schedule is a 7-day-on, 14-days-off schedule with staggered, overlapping shifts covering the evening and overnight hours.
Our evening and overnight Emergency Radiology team are important educators in our residency. Dartmouth Radiology hosts multiple outstanding residencies, including in Diagnostic Radiology and an integrated DR/IR program. Residents participating in 24 hr. coverage of the ED, and therefore they work alongside our emergency radiology team. Our emergency Radiology section participates in giving lectures or cases conferences in addition to doing at-the-station teaching; many members of our Emergency Radiology division have won awards for their outstanding advocacy and teaching. Even for people who are not particularly academically inclined (which is ok!), we find many people enjoy being in a stimulating, academic environment. Our top priority above all is an emphasis on clinical excellence.
