- Maintain a dashboard to track and visualize inspection data at multiple classification levels using Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) business intelligence solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics/ Mathematics or equivalent STEM major

Seven or more years of experience in data processing large data sets, hands-on with data transformation, aggregation, and filtering.
Preferred Qualifications

Additional certifications such as Palantir Foundry Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, Certified Data Management Professional, SnowPro Advanced, etc.

Demonstrated experience building and maintaining APIs and ETL pipelines using tools like Python, SQL, Apache Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar platforms

Familiarity with systems like Palantir Foundry, Snowflake, SAP, Oracle or similar platforms

Understanding of cloud-based data storage and architecture

Proven ability to implement data validation, metadata management, and ensure consistency and accuracy across systems

Experience working in the electric utility industry or with infrastructure investment planning

Experience working collaboratively with cross-function stakeholders such as IT, Engineering, Planning and business teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored data solutions.

We are currently seeking a Data Engineer Advisor to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee (US-TN), United States (US).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and manage Power BI at the enterprise level, enabling analytics across 20+ business units.
- Act as a first responder for Power BI dashboard issues and framework-level escalations.
- Maintain and enhance 10-15 enterprise-wide Power BI frameworks for automation in instance deployment, version upgrades and analytic/viz framework design.
- Perform proof-of-concepts (POCs) and adapt to evolving BI tools.
- Collaborate with business units to ensure visualization standards and performance optimization.
- Manage and automate Power BI Gateway deployments across 200+ VMs.
- Support migration to Microsoft Fabric capacity and manage premium capacity environments.
- Ensure secure handling of highly confidential data with full encryption protocols.
- Troubleshoot Snowflake connectivity and optimize queries for performance.
- Build and maintain robust batch and streaming data pipelines using Python and PowerShell.
- Demonstrate experience managing Power BI tenant architecture and Microsoft Fabric capacities at scale, including strategic planning and implementation.
- Lead and guide cross-functional teams in enterprise-level BI initiatives, with strong examples of collaboration and influence.
- Utilize hands-on experience with enterprise security frameworks, including role-based access control, data governance, and compliance protocols.
- Use strategic foresight to architect solutions that are platform-agnostic, scalable, and adaptable to future technology shifts.
- Work in large-scale environments, with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions that support long-term growth.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on enterprise analytics.
- 2+ years of Power BI experience (framework support, capacity management, enterprise enablement, etc.)
- 3+ years of scripting skills in Python and PowerShell.
- 2+ years of experience with Snowflake as a primary cloud analytics platform.
- 2+ years of experience working on hybrid on-prem/cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP)
