Job Description
+ Design and implement data warehouse solutions and models, and architect the overall data strategy, including data model designs, database standards, and the management of data warehouses and analytics systems aligned with client business processes.
+ Design data integration solutions that fully integrate with customer's existing infrastructure (both on-premises and cloud) focusing on data flow, security, and business requirements.
+ Create physical and logical architecture solution roadmaps for linking services solutions with client business processes and technologies.
+ Design and develop high-volume data ingestion components and ETL solutions using Informatica and Databricks ETL application suites. Ensure data quality and controls for various data ingestion inflows and outflow processes.
+ Develop solutions to evaluate architectural alternatives for cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and other cloud services.
+ Recommend data governance processes, security standards, and models to provide architectural guidelines for development initiatives.
+ Manage end-to-end data architecture, from platform selection and technical architecture design to the development, testing, and implementation of the proposed solution.
+ Consult and collaborate with technology leaders, business partners, and peer groups on product features, and partner with Product Owners and engineering teams to align technical design and strategy with the product roadmap.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of experience in the IT consulting industry. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, employer will accept 2 additional years of experience in the IT consulting industry. Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:
+ Creating and optimizing logical and physical data models;
+ Utilizing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools, including Informatica PowerCenter, Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), or Ab Initio;
+ Implementing data warehousing solutions using Oracle Exadata; and
+ Driving key architectural and design decisions.
Must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:
+ Managing projects and providing solutions for complex requirements, including data migration and optimization for provisioning applications and SAP ERP solutions;
+ Suggesting improvements on ongoing performance issues;
+ Utilizing SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA for data migration into targeted data warehouses;
+ Utilizing Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Cassandra, or Kafka for data processing frameworks;
+ Performing data modeling using Erwin Data Modeler and Oracle SQL Developer; and
+ Managing databases using Oracle Database, MySQL, MS SQL Server, and MongoDB.

This role will provide expertise to support the development of a Big Data / Data Lake system architecture that supports enterprise data operations for the District of Columbia government, including the Internet of Things (IoT) / Smart City projects, enterprise data warehouse, the open data portal, and data science applications.
