Position SummaryThe Data Catalog and Data Governance Architect possesses extensive knowledge and expertise in data governance and data catalog development and implementation. This role serves as a mentor, strategist, architect and operational lead for data governance and metadata management initiatives. The architect is a lead contributor in planning, designing, implementing, supporting and evolving the Enterprise Data Catalog, Data Governance and Data Stewardship programs, which encompass organization frameworks, best practices, processes, change management, tools, and infrastructure.
This role involves working with business and IT stakeholders, data stewards and application owners to develop and implement metadata and data governance solutions to improve data management, data governance, data cataloguing, data discoverability and understanding, data accessibility, data quality and security.
What You'll do as a Data Catalog and Data Governance ArchitectEnterprise Metadata Management/Data Catalog Program Development and Support (60%)
- Implement, manage and support operations of metadata management platform and data catalog tools (e.g., Informatica CDGC, Collibra, Alation, or similar platforms)
- Lead the development and implementation of metadata management strategies, standards, processes and best practices.
- Work with business and IT stakeholders, data owners, data stewards and subject matter experts to document metadata, relationships, and data lineage for critical data assets.
- Provide education, training and support to stakeholders on adoption of the Data Catalog to foster data literacy, data sharing, and a culture of data ownership and accountability.

- Assist with assessing and improving data governance structures and processes, including assessing current data governance capabilities and gaps, roles and responsibilities, building tactical plans to mature data governance capabilities, change management support, and producing related program deliverables and artifacts.
- Champion Data Governance across the organization, this includes generating awareness, educating the enterprise, and enabling the organization to participate in the data governance processes.
- Collaborate with Data Governance Council and DG working groups to define and maintain overall standards and processes for how data is managed as well as review, prioritize, triage and facilitate resolution data governance issues.
- Lead or facilitate execution of data catalog, data stewardship, metadata management, data quality, and data governance activities.
- Help establish data governance policy, standards, processes, and procedures across the enterprise.
- Monitor and report on metadata and data governance metrics, driving continuous improvement.

This Informatica Cloud Catalog/Governance/Marketplace Administrator/Engineer will be focused on helping customers Configure Cloud Catalog/Governance/Marketplace with Informatica CDGC (Cloud Data Governance and Catalog) and data products from CDGC. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline with typically 5 to 8 years of experience in data management, data governance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Strong proficiency with data cataloging tools, metadata management platforms, SQL, and data modeling.
- Experience in data quality management and familiarity with ETL processes and data warehouses.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and improve processes involving data quality, metadata, and governance.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Experience with tools such as Collibra, Microsoft Purview, Informatica Data Quality, Alation, Talend or similar platforms for data cataloging and quality management.
- Experience with leading data catalog and metadata management platforms.

We are seeking a highly capable and proactive Senior Data & Business Analyst to join our Enterprise Data Catalog (DataNav) Product Team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership of complex initiatives, and can drive outcomes across multiple workstreams. You'll be instrumental in scaling our enterprise data catalog platform and enabling data governance and discovery across the organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Initiative Leadership: Own and drive key deliverables across the DataNav platform, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy and stakeholder needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with data owners, data custodians, product owners, engineers, and business leaders to gather requirements, define use cases, and prioritize enhancements.
- Metadata Management: Curate and maintain business and technical metadata, data lineage, and glossary terms to improve data discoverability and trust.
- Enablement & Adoption: Design and execute a comprehensive engagement strategy to drive awareness, understanding, and usage of the DataNav platform. Develop targeted training materials and self-service resources tailored to various user personas. Lead onboarding sessions, office hours, and workshops to support new users and reinforce best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify adoption barriers and implement tactical solutions that promote sustained platform value across the enterprise.
- Workflow Optimization: Design and implement catalog workflows and automation to streamline metadata capture and governance processes.
- Strategic Thinking: Apply structured problem-solving and critical thinking to navigate complex data ecosystems and deliver scalable solutions.
- 5+ years' experience working in data governance, data catalogs, or other data management specific roles
- Strong understanding of data catalogs and their respective capabilities including data dictionaries, business glossaries, business lineage, technical lineage, and data mgmt. workflows
- Hands-on experience with the design, configuration or roll-out of data catalog tools such as Alation, Collibra, Informatica or similar
- Hands-on experience with on-boarding technical and functional metadata from various sources including cloud data platforms, traditional RDBMS systems e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, etc. or Business Intelligence (BI) platforms e.g. Tableau
- Understanding of cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (preferable), Azure, or AWS
- Intermediate SQL skills and foundational knowledge of database models
- Familiar with data quality practices and its integration within a data catalog
- Comfortable working independently and with other teams/vendors to resolve issues
- Strong presentation skills and being able to effectively communicate across all levels of the enterprise
