DATA & CONTROL SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN
The data & control systems technician will support the build-up and maintenance of our data and control systems. These systems consist of varying data acquisition and control hardware, wiring and interface harnesses, and a wide variety of instrumentation. The goal of this team is to meet a variety of test requirements to achieve safe, economical, and reliable access to space.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform complex technical assignments involving instrumentation and data acquisition/processing systems
-
Maintain, calibrate, configure, monitor, test, troubleshoot, install, and repair instrumentation, process controls, data acquisition systems, and electrical systems
-
Investigate, diagnose, correct, and document instrumentation or system malfunctions
-
Analyze results of calibrations and processed data, and assist in the interpretation of test data
-
Adjust, repair, or replace faulty components of test setups and equipment
-
Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and production electrical and electronic units, assemblies, components, parts, equipment, and systems
-
Configure the data acquisition hardware
-
Perform wire terminations to a variety of instruments and verify sensor health: pressure transducers, thermocouples, valves, limits, and flow meters
-
Install connectors, connector pins, terminals, and lugs
-
Perform continuity checks, locate and correct wiring errors using measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and sequential continuity checkers
-
Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry and components, and record effects on unit performance
-
Read and interpret planning documents, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, drawings, manuals, blueprints, and engineering sketches
-
Perform layout and wiring of electrical panels

Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot failures and issues derived from test data
-
Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalency certificate

2+ years of experience working with instrumentation such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, valves, flow meters, multimeters, or oscilloscopes
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience working with any of the following instrumentation: resistance temperature devices (RTDs), silicon diode temperature devices, strain gauges, load cells, displacement transducers, pressure transducers, thermocouples, and flow meters (turbine, coriolis, and ultrasonic)

Basic knowledge of Wheatstone Bridge Theory, ability to apply Ohm's Law, and an understanding of DC electronics

Operational knowledge of an oscilloscope and multi-meter, soldering wires and connectors, operation of various crimping tools, wire stripping, continuity testing, pinning out a military type connector, routing and tie wrapping cables, drilling and tapping holes, and building junction boxes

System-level troubleshooting skills and the ability to logically solve instrumentation system problems and determine corrective action

Experience with Variable Frequency Drives and motor starters, and knowledge in troubleshooting

Knowledge in signal conditioning concepts for various types of sensors, to include the following: thermocouple Types K, S, and E; TC bonding concepts: resistance weld on and adhesive bond on types; TC probes through thermowell sheaths; cold junction compensation concepts

Background should include experience with the following devices: DC power supplies, DC-DC convertors, UPS installations, heat shrink tubing, cable harnessing, lacing, and proper strain relief concepts

Working knowledge of transducers, operational amplifiers, and the knowledge of measurement techniques for temperature, pressure, flow, displacement, vibration, and the application of strain gauges are also highly desired. Ability to identify required data, data acquisition plans, and test parameters, setting up equipment to conform to these specifications

Working knowledge of multiple bus architectures (PCI/PCIe, PXI/PXIe, GPIB, Serial, USB, etc.) and data communication technologies

Demonstrated capabilities in the development of comprehensive project plans that include all tasks, stage/gate milestones, and reviews necessary to successfully develop and implement solutions

Intermediate skill level using Windows Operating Systems

Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, OneNote)

Knowledge in data acquisition concepts, hardware, and interfacing (SCXI and PXI-based)

The Data Integrity Specialist reports directly to the Director of Data of Integrity. The position must adhere to pricing policies, processes, and ensure timely input of retail pricing maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Responsible for dispatching all incoming scheduling emails;
* Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or scanners;
* Review pricing data and determine irregularities; work with the procurement department buyers, IT support staff, and management as needed for problem resolution and policy enforcement;
* Verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry;
* Review pricing data for deficiencies and/or errors and correct any incompatibilities;
* Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents;
* Scan documents and print files in a timely manner;
* Maintain confidentiality regarding information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network;

A Brief Overview
This role will apply skills, education and knowledge base to processes and procedures in order to develop new skillsets and gain workforce experience.
This role will work under direct supervision to provide support to the Philanthropic Strategy and Technology team.
The Data Integrity Intern will support the Data Integrity Analyst with regular data cleansing such as duplicate management and data audits. As the data integrity program continues to grow, this position will support the reactive and proactive efforts in the highest standards of data hygiene. As the intern you must have a sharp eye for details, be self-driven, and a team player. You will work and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure data standards are maintained. Ensure data hygiene through manual data entry and in-bulk data management. Learn and adopt state of the art systems and processes used in our operations, for example: Salesforce and DemandTools.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Data Integrity Specialist reports directly to the Director of Data of Integrity. The position must adhere to pricing policies, processes, and ensure timely input of retail pricing maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Responsible for dispatching all incoming scheduling emails;
* Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or scanners;
* Review pricing data and determine irregularities; work with the procurement department buyers, IT support staff, and management as needed for problem resolution and policy enforcement;
* Verify accuracy and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry;
* Review pricing data for deficiencies and/or errors and correct any incompatibilities;
* Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents;
* Scan documents and print files in a timely manner;
* Maintain confidentiality regarding information being processed, stored, or accessed by the network;
* Follow daily schedules and deadlines for item pricing file maintenance and batch generation;
* Respond to queries for pricing information and retrieve relevant files;
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Our Data Integrity Specialists provide a vital function at Ball Horticultural. Responsible for the input and maintenance of all material, customer, and vendor data, the role is crucial for the successful operations of the company.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Produce and maintain product offering sheets, working with the Supply Manager, Supplier Specialist and Traffic Specialist to ensure accurate product lists and pricing for our customers.
• Maintain key data in SAP including material master, pricing condition records, exchange rates and customer master to ensure systems remain up to date for accurate order and invoice processing.
• Build new customers and maintain existing customer data through SAP to increase sales and accurate order delivery
• Provide support to Data Relations Supervisor, Regional Supply Managers, Director of North American Supply Chain, including special projects as assigned
• Cross train in other areas of Data Relations to support the department's service and performance objectives
Requirements
• Minimum 3-5 years of operations or vendor relations experience is preferred• High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree or equivalent experience in business or horticulture preferred
• Intermediate to advanced level experience in Excel, Outlook and Word required; knowledge of SAP system preferred
• Managing, planning and organizing time effectively to meet customer demands; proven ability to work independently and perform work in accordance with team, departmental and company goals; problem-solving and independent decision-making are required; ability to manage different opinions and requests while striving for continual improvement
